Well made compct reel.
Well made little fishing reel. I used this yesterday and caught a mess of bream and white bass. Use the suggested line of 2-4 lb test. Any bigger may get tangled up. The reel itself is small but has good weight and I could tell it was a strong reel for it's size. Worth the price for sure.

Feels really good right about the box!
Ok, so to be fair I have not tried it out yet which why I gave it 4 stars. Right out the box it definitely feels like premium quality build but we have yet to see how durable it is. I really do like the way it feels and will be great for a light, ultra light build. I added 10lb braided Spiderwire line. I will give an update after several uses.

Great little reel
At this price point I find this reel hard to beat. It is really light so it pairs with smaller ultralight rods really well. It is smooth as butter. I can cast a 1/48oz jig on 2lb mono pretty decently. This is a perfect reel for a cheaper ultralight setup when you just feel like catching fish. I have this in the 1000 series.

Pleasantly surprised!
Overall, I have nothing negative to say about this reel. I have other ultralight reels that I have paid a lot more money for and this one performs just as well. I plan to keep this in my car for local ponds and lakes with a cheap 2 piece Shakespeare rod.

Not a good casting reel but...
But you wouldn't expect it to be with such a small spool. Looks to be well made and you wouldn't expect it to be super smooth at this price either which it isn't, but it has no wobble or bind when reeling and reels in well enough. Looks like I found the best use for it is vertical jigging for crappie, the line comes off easily enough, and it's light weight matched up with a short ultra light Ugly Stick rod makes it a lot of fun. It would be fine for trout fishing on small streams since you are not usually casting that far. I bought two and glad I did. Great bargain for the price.
