ZKEE Vintage Style Tabletop Lanterns with Flickering Flame Effect (Black, Remote Timer & Batteries Included) - Indoor/Outdoor Hanging Decorative Candle Lanterns (Set of 2)

I received a used/refurbished/returned item, not a new one as ordered, but these two lanterns are worth keeping. I really like the remote control, and love the realistic flickering. The box came with 3 of the 4 required batteries (each lantern needs 2), and oddly, two extra battery hatches. Weird, but again, for the price it's worth keeping. Each lantern has a decent paint job and if I want to change it at all, a little spray paint will turn them into completely different looks.If I need more lanterns like these, I wouldn't hesitate to buy again.

It’s so pretty on, love that it has a timer and it flickers or you could have a steady light! I rather the flicker effect makes it look real! Would like to purchase more

Exactly as described, the fake flames are better than I expected, also love that it has a timer feature.

i read the reviews before purchasing and i see why they get 4 and 5 stars! ...i keep them within my fireplace surround ....i used the remote the first night to set the timer for the flickering flame...they came on every night for well over a month before needing a battery refreshing..., which is way better than most similar type flame candles . they look great and the flame effect is subtle and relaxing , not distracting like some that flicker too intensely. they aren't metal which is noted, but you can't tell unless you pick them up....i'm guessing they'd be great for ambiance on a deck as well ...no rusting...but you'd have to take inside if windy. super value to get two of this size at this price!

Updated Review, Mar, 2021These lanterns were hung next to our picnic table, off of two shepherds poles about 4 feet apart. The lanterns were used through three seasons. Using the remote control from our picture window, only 9 feet away, only one lantern responded to the controls when first received. I decided not to return it since the flickering light was still functioning. However, within several months, the lanterns began to malfunction and finally failed to illuminate altogether.I did install fresh batteries yet rain water had infiltrated the base causing corrosion where the batteries make contact. Note that these lanterns are NOT water proof, nor water resistant. When they did work, they simply emitted a soft glow. Note that these lanterns do NOT illuminate the surrounding area, they are only for visual affect. These lanterns are not recommended.(Update: March, 2021: These lanterns have not worked since the Fall of 2020. I removed them from my yard and discarded them this week. This purchase was a poor choice on my part and not worth the price point I paid for them. These lanterns cannot be recommended at all for any purpose whatsoever. I may invest in solar powered lanterns for my next outdoor lanterns.)

I purchased these lanterns in the spring to use on my deck. I loved them and my wife and I incorporated them into our Halloween decorations. We received several compliments and inquiries as to where we purchased them. We are now using them as part of out Christmas decorations. The lanterns have a realistic look especially when using the flame effect setting. I was skeptical about them being waterproof and able to withstand the elements as they are so lightweight. However after leaving them out from mid September until after Halloween , thru several storms they continue to look and work like new. This company provides excellent customer service and I would not hesitate to purchase any of their products. I highly recommend these lanterns as they worked flawlessly and provided a very warm ambiance .

I bought two sets of these lanterns. They are absolutely beautiful. The flame is so realistic. I had a neighbor actually knock on the door because it look like there was a fire in the house lol. The remote is small and easily hidden in the drawer, but works great. I do not know how these would perform outdoors but inside they’re so beautiful ….highly recommend!

If you are lucky enough to get these to arrive intact. They are a fantastic little lantern. Nice soft fire light glow and the remote is perfect. I really wanted six of these, but only one package arrived intact. The other two had broken glass and smashed boxes. The packaging was very poor.
