Awesome Indeed!
I bought this alphabet book as a baby shower gift. It showcases strong, powerful women. It will be my standard baby shower or 1st birthday gift.

A wonderful.tool.for long distance family time
This I found this book to be inspiring and well written. The colorful pictures and child friendly explanations appealed to my Granddaughter; I enjoyed reading ( and learning!) about these amazing women. My Granddaughter lives in Oregon and I live in Maryland; because of COVID 19 the only interaction that I can safely have with her is our daily FaceTime telephone call prior to her nap. Part of our daily ritual is that I read her a book. I'm so glad that books like this are available.....fun and inspiring

Great gift
We gave this book as a birthday gift to a granddaughter. We hope she'll see herself as someone with ability and power to do great things.

Great children's book
I bought this to read with my 4yo son. He enjoys the pictures and learning about the different women in this alphabet style book. I am probably enjoying this way more than he is and am also learning with him about different impactful female figures. It's a lovely children's book and I believe it's an important one to have in your kid's library no matter their gender. We are trying to practice social distancing during covid-19 and these vivid and diverse picture books are a great way to share with my child the beauty and importance of diversity.

Inspiring Female Role Models, Great Illustrations, Terse Quotes
Even though this appears designed to be a very young child's board book, it could provide inspirational sound bite boosts to girls of any age (probably aged 8 and way up). It struck me as an A, B, C's moral equivalent of Page-a-Day tear off motivational phrase calendars. With much better graphics in the book than those calendars boast.I think it's great for what it is! Don't buy it for in-depth or even insightful yet terse biographies. Chelsea & Hillary Clinton's books are more of that.My big disappointment in this book, and reason for subtracting a star rating, is the letter "V". Why the heck did the author completely switch gears and throw in a mythological character?!? Why not use Virginia Woolf or Venus Williams or some other V-named real-life successful and inspiring woman or girl? That was a swing and a miss content-wise. The author also copped out on three letters of the alphabet. It's like she ran out of researching steam. But, there's a fun surprise at the end.Overall, I recommend it for what it is and what it does. Keep in mind the caveats above of what it is not before buying.

We read this book 4 times a night.
My little girl loves this book. She sleeps with it because she doesn't want it out of her sight. She especially loves the last page where she can pick out her favorites.
