Good sturdy little budget tripod
Yes, you have to watch the stability a little on its lowest setting as the centre of balance can be quite high when a camera or digital sound recorder is attached - but not too badly: you just have to be a little careful. I don't see how this could be any other way with such a small tripod - and it is very much better than other tripods I have used for low work. It is wonderfully stable for a tripod of this size and the build is solid and study. The tripod does not feel cheap - except for its quick release shoe which is of a cheap type. The tripod legs have a good thickness of metal - not like something like Amazon basics full-size tripods which feel very flimsy.I am very happy with this purchase. It is a much better built product than I was anticipating.

Best value tripod on Amazon
Height adjustable and various planes for cameras and binoculars. Very stable

Very Good for the money
Good value for money, but the quality of the threading on the various adjusting screws is poor and cross threading is easy. With care the device is usable, but it may have a shorter life than units with machine cut threads.

Great strong and just the right height for my long lense
Really well built a year on and it's strapped to the outside of my camera bag the whole time. It's small enough to keep inside the pack but I have lots in the bag. It goes long enough to use day to day and the carry bag makes it look more like an umbrella then a camera mount.

Smaller Tripod
Sometimes it's handy to have a lower height that's sturdy. This does just that.

Solid, but unsafe unless the legs are extended
Solid, but only when the legs are extendedI bought this to have a small portable tripod when out and about with my SLR and (sometimes) fairly heavy macro or telephoto lenses. First the good points: it's well made, very solid and has a quick-release mount, spirit level and so on. But there are two downsides, and one of them is very serious. If you want to use this as a small tripod, without extending the legs it's just not stable enough. It's unstable unless you extend the legs, so is no good for ground or tabletop shots. The unextended legs don't spread widely enough to support an SLR body with a modest 100 mm macro lens, let alone any sort of decent telephoto. I've tried this for shots near to the ground using a macro lens, and the tripod is perpetually just about to topple over nearly dropping my expensive SLR body and macro lens onto the ground or into the pond. If the legs could spread a few inches wider it would be wonderful, but they don't. If you extend the legs then of course it's no problem, because the span is so much larger. But then it's too far above the ground for some macro shots, or for table top use. Basically with the legs unextended it's way too unsafe. The second weakness is less serious, and related to a more specific use case. This is a big mini tripod, about 33 cm all when collapsed and 31 cm when unfolded. It's too big to bit in many pockets. Worse, with an SR body and a decent telephoto attached we're looking at 44 cm tall - about 17.5" for the traditionalists. This is way too tall to fit on the ledge in the average bird hide while keeping the lens at a level where it can see out of the slot. So I guess I'm going to have to buy a bean bag.I appreciate some of these problems are related to the way I'm using the tripod, but IMHO the first is a major limitation because a tripod ought to be safe even if its legs aren't extended.

Good travel tripod
I was going on holidays with only the hand luggage and my other one was quite long to carry. I bought this one and it was just perfect. Not only because you can take with you to any flight trip but because it’s a good tripod that helps achieve good pictures at different heights than the longer ones. I think it is a must have.
