if you like Richard Curtis movies you'll probably love it
I enjoy German drama and I was intrigued by the idea of a German rom-com, but I was probably wrong for expecting something more than the usual uninspiring formula. A womanising, morally-deficient paparazzo meets a geeky nice girl who works with small children - can you guess what happens next? But it was around the point where the script starts reeling out the 'men are like THIS and women are like THAT' stereotypes that I started wondering just which decade actor, director and writer Til Schweiger was living in when he thought up this drivel. To be fair, it does have its funny moments, but overall it was an unoriginal, predictable take on the genre. If you like Richard Curtis films you'll probably love it.

Schweiger is the Adam Sandler of Germany- which is either great or depressing depending on your view. He clearly loves himself so if the predictable plot and lowest common denominator gags leave you cold I'm sure he'll get over it. Avoid!

I had reservations as rom/coms are not really my cup of tea and I was right to. Gave up on it after 12 mins. I speak German so thiswas nothing 'lost in translation' it was simply puerile.
