I give this a five star for quality of materials, function, lightweight, and price. One problem with adjusting screw design: the nut falls out easily when adjusting the angle of the camera. If you position this in one position and don't change the position, it will be great. I changed the position once, and the nut fell off and could have easily been lost on the floor as it is so tiny. It took me 30 minutes to figure out how to put it back together. It would be ideal if the knob was superglued to the nut. I plan to do this so I don't risk losing the nut again. I otherwise like this so much that I might buy a second one as a back up.

I bought this to make videos and it works very well. I have an iPhone 15 and it holds it securely and doesn't wobble. For the price, its a no brainer.

I had a cell phone holder with a suction that attached to the dash but it kept falling off. This works much better on the glass. I like how it swivels so you can have your phone oriented up and down or sideways. The grip seems strong enough to hold the phone in place (I have an iPhone 5). Because the grip is spring loaded, it could accommodate other kinds of phones, although something much smaller than the width of an iPhone 5 might be too small to stay in the clip. I do not have any concerns about my phone falling out of the holder.Follow up. The plastic broke where the phone holder connects to the suction device. I super glued it back together and it seems to be working fine. I still give this device 5 stars because of the price. I am thinking of buying more to give as gifts.

I haven't had this even a week, and I can already tell that this product is not going to last long. Will be returning but this is why you should buy something else.1. There are way too many cheap plastic set screws for adjusting your phones position. And they all come loose and need to be tightened constantly and I'm getting the feeling that one of these days the plastic is going to break from me trying to get them tight enough that it stops moving.2. Unless your phones buttons are on the top, you have to have your phone off center to avoid the holder pushing buttons. This also contributes to the loosening of the screws because it's being held away from the center of gravity.3. Crushes my phone case and forces it apart. I'm glad that it tries to hold my phone as best as it can, but when my phone case is getting forced apart that's a bit too much.4. Clunky to put your phone into. I never feel like my phone is sitting in the holder far back enough and end up fighting with it just so it won't fly out if it pops my case open.5. Pointless points of adjustment. The swivel holder is pointless to me considering this has so many points of adjustment. It's also the worst when it comes to coming loose. There is just no way to get that part tight enough without gluing it in place.Over all this looks cheap, feels cheap and is going to get returned before it breaks.

Holds my IPhone XS very securely in the case, the spring loaded grip is pretty strong, and it’s very adjustable along all three axes. Using it for track day/autocross video. If you place on windshield so that the phone hangs under it and just touches the dash, it isn’t going to budge, but even just hanging without touching it seems it’s very solid. It’s smaller than it looks in pictures, and it’s just plastic, but overall I’m very pleased for the price. Also very simple to insert and remove phone even while mounted.

Although the item broke, the seller sent out a replacement immediately. I haven't had any issues with the replacement. Thanks!

I recently decided to start a YouTube channel with video recordings from my car of various road trips and travels around my region. I didn’t want to dive in yet spending big money on a dedicated camera and mount right out of the gate and decided to see how my iPhone 8 Plus would fare, after all, these things are now capable of shooting 4K video these days. Initially I tried another mount that I’ll be reviewing later which just couldn’t hold the phone in place at all. Then I purchased this one to give it a try, hoping that I wouldn’t go through so many of these cheaper mounts that I eventually end up spending the same thing that a full fledged camera mount would cost.SETUP:The setup of this device was pretty simple. Once you find a clean spot on your windshield where the camera would sit at your desired angle, just tighten the suction cup and you’re all set. It has a knob for lateral adjustments that can be loosened or tightened once the suction cup is set.RECORDING VIDEO and STABILITY:With this mount your iPhone is held in the landscape position. I have mine sitting with the camera to the left and mounted near the middle-center of my windshield. Due to the way this mount kind of has the phone hanging from the windshield without any additional support I was somewhat skeptical that it could record decent video without tons of shaking. However I have to say I was pleasantly surprised to see this wasn’t the case. I’ve used it to record a few hours of video while driving on high speed interstates as well as in the city. You’ll get a few more jolts and shakes when going over bumps at high speed on the freeway than in town but overall the video recorded in respectable quality.One thing I will add is that the quality of my video was much worse and fuzzier when I tested a few 1080p videos. It is a smartphone camera though, so it’s possible that it was due to the camera rather than the mount. Just a heads up for those who might be looking to record in 1080p instead of 4K. My 4K/60 FPS videos came out beautifully.OTHER THOUGHTS:I did try using this unit as a GPS a few times but due to the more limited view on the GPS in landscape and the fact that most iOS apps simply do not have a landscape version, I decided that I’d stick with a different mount for when I’m not recording video.Overall I’d say this mount is a great value for the price. For those who simply do not want to shell out the cash at the moment for a dedicated camera with mount and just use the amazing camera you already have in your pocket, this is the way to go.
