I feel such a fool. I just assumed these would fit the plughole in my bath and kitchen sink, I didn't even click these would be for the larger plugholes! 😳I had to remove the screws from the centre of each drainer in both my sink and bath (I still didn't think to measure up at that point) only to find that these just were too big!Lost a star as I found the stopper in the middle that screws the product together came away to easily and would have been concerned that the middle rod would fall down the drain but as they didn't fit any of the plugholes in my flat, I couldn't test this in practice..

Ideally you should just be able to lift a sink plug slightly when it should drain the water whilst still filtering it. I have a rather annoying sink where this does not happen and the plug needs to be completely removed or tilted before the water will empty and once you do that it does not filter correctly. I thought the ball bearing would allow this plug to behave correctly such that the plug could be raised slightly so that it both drains and filters. When I tried it, the plug could be raised so that the water was filtered but when I pushed the plug down the water was still draining. If I pushed the plug down very firmly the draining did stop. However at this point the plug was in so tightly I could not remove it without pliers! I tried it on another sink with much better results, working perfectly, so my summary is that it may work in your sink but there is a chance it may not. Also a bit annoying to have to buy four?

This is quite a simple product. I bought it to replace my plug for the kitchen sink as the rubber has started to leak water. This plug fitted fine, and held water tight fine. It doesn’t however sit up from the plug hole when not in use, unlike my existing one.

Needed these as my others were about 13 years old and not working anymore. With my old ones you could push the middle down to stop the water draining then pull slightly and it would gently drain and collect all the debris, these just seem to sit and you have to stand and hold them slightly above to make the water drain. But at least they’re keeping my drains cleared.

A lot thinner and less wellmade than Frankie version but they work and are soooo much cheaper.

These are excellent if they fit your sink. Dont know why one would need four .They did not fit mine irritatingly and i was about to return them when husband dissasembled one and swapped the seal and centre post onto my original plug.Then my original one with new seals worked well.So these would be fine for you is it is the seal that has perished.

Quality is ok although thinner than the original that came with sink however, once in plug hole it doesn't drain you have to pull it up to let water out you cant leave it in to just collect bits.

This was exactly what I wanted - there are a variety of diameters apparently and although my previous purchase worked it was maybe 1/4” too narrow at the top. This one fits perfectly BUT the ball bearing Spring in the shaft Is too lightweight and doesn’t hold a raised position....try again!
