Building, blasting and crushing! It's all in a day's work for front-end loaders, diggers and dozers! Huge shovels dig foundations, a towering crane builds a skyscraper, dynamite sends a smokestack crumbling to the ground, and a colossal crusher grinds up rock. So grab your hard hat, and let's get rollin' !

Good for a preschooler who LOVES construction !
My son is three years old and he is fascinated by construction vehicles and equipment. He also loves tractors and all kinds of heavy machinery. He loves for me to look up videos of such equipment on youtube, so I decided to buy this DVD for him.At first when I heard the "digging song" (one of the first songs) I thought "Oh no, this DVD is going to be SO corny"! Then I looked over at my son and he was totally engrossed in watching it ! There are a few (corny by ADULT standards) songs on the DVD and yes, there are (corny by adult standards) people giving the equipment different "voices" and names but my three year old LOVES it. The songs are not too long and there is plenty of quiet time where it's just the machines working. There are different episodes/adventures on the DVD and each one is really good. There is a construction site, a quarry, demoltion, etc. Each segment is fairly educational as there is a child's level explanation for what each different machine/vehicle is for.My son gets his toy construction vehicles out and plays with them while he watches the DVD. I have caught him in his room singing the "digging song" a few times and it's so cute. He will even do the voices when he's playing with his toys in his room.I would say if your child LOVES to watch equipment at work, with NO frills then this is the DVD for you.The ONLY negative I can think of is that we WISH that the real motor sounds were louder. My son loves to hear the engine noises.

Good video that our 2 1/2 year old really enjoys!
Let me start off by saying that my 2 1/2 year old son really enjoys most of this video! He is actually watching it as I type! There are three different video segments..."At the Construction Site", "Demolition" and "The Rock Quarry". My son requests the first and third video all the time, but doesn't care much for the demolition one. You can choose to "Watch all three" or select the individual videos (which is what we usually do, as 20-25 minutes a video is really all he needs to watch at a time). They personify the different machines by giving them each a voice and having them tell what they are doing as they go about their "job". Hearing the different accents is a little cheesy, but cute. Some of the machines are not correctly identified (my husband works for Caterpillar, so that irritates him a bit), but my son doesn't know and doesn't care:) My only other complaint is that the four "bonus videos" at the end have to be selected individually (there is no "play all" feature), which means I have to keep returning to the tv to select the next video.A little cheaply made, but for the price, you can't complain too much! Was a nice addition to our "digger" collection. However, if you are looking for something a little higher quality, I'd recommend the "I Love CAT Machines" videos. Kind of like Baby Einstein, but with heavy machinery!

My kids love Mighty Machines!
If you have a kiddo that loves trucks, cars, and anything in between, I highly recommend anything from the Mighty Machines series. My son and daughter go nuts when they hear the theme song and are completely engrossed throughout the video. The videos are educational; my children can identify all sorts of construction vehicles (I often ask my 3-year-old to help me identify trucks when we pass by construction sites, which he does confidently). There is a low annoyance factor with these DVDs. There are three episodes, each about half an hour in length. You can play them all or individually. The voice-overs are not overly annoying to listen to and some are clever and funny.Bottom line: I recommend Mighty Machines!

Not my favorite but my toddler can't get enough!
Omg mighty machines movies are terribly boring to me but our 3 year old son loves them, he has many and this DVD was a welcome addition to his collection. If you've seen mighty machines before, you know what it's like and you probably already know if you child will like this one or not. If you're new to mighty machines but your child loves diggers and things like that, I'd say buy it. It's basically diggers/trucks/plows doing their work with human voices talking for them... "Come on Pete the plow... Let's move some snow!" Stuff like that haha so lame but the kids love it

Is being played over and over and over
My 19-month-old grandson is into trucks and cars lately so I sent him this DVD so that he could watch the diggers and dozers and have fun with this. My daughter said he loves it and when not outside playing, it's a good DVD to settle down with and relax. He's gone from baby animals to Elmo and now to trucks and cars and anything with wheels. He's learned some new words and enjoys this a lot. Mom and Dad watch it with him, so that helps with learning from the DVD, as well as pure fun.

Skipped...do not buy
This dvd was a Christmas gift for my son, the second it started it skipped. It continued to skip even 20 minutes in. What a shame and disappointment. Please check your DVD's before selling them.

Very educational and entertaining for the young and the old!
This is so educational, and is the perfect DVD for anyone who loves construction machines. Bought it for my 3 year old and 18 month old grandsons to watch, and it is so neat to watch them play in the sandbox with their Tonka trucks and sing the theme songs that are sprinkled throughout the DVD. Their granddaddy loves it as much as they do, and a perfect evening for them is popping this DVD in, and snuggling up together in our oversize recliner with a bowl of popcorn. Highly recommend!
