How it is ... really .. Leave Rhonda at the door, brace yourself - breath, be happy
If ever there was a book that should be required reading on the natonal curriculum ... apart from Victor Frankl's wonderful "Man's Search for Meaning ... this is it. Life - a funny old thing. Exceptional, down to earth, no mysterious "a saviour will come ... " (he/she won't by the way) nonsense .... and the Universe won't give you everything you want if you just thnk it. You have to do something - starting with control of your perceptions and your brain. Amazing 2000 year+ old wisdom. What have the Romans ever done for us? here it is and you don't have to have an opinion about everything - Wonderful wonderful book..

A must read
I am half way through the book right now and it is by far the most usefull book on self-discipline and has helped me a lot at being aware of my surroundings and to put my personal problems in perspective to others. Must read!

Great content poorly presented
Always on the lookout for a book which makes me think differently and this has great potential. First thing is to understand that you don’t read this book like a normal book, you pick a paragraph, read, consider and leave., as you really need to spend time understanding the content and if you want to take on the idea or ignore it - both being appropriate based on your needs. This is where the less than stellar layout gets in the way, as each chapter is presented as a continuous set of paragraphs without any particular separation. I may have missed it, but to me the book doesn’t seem to group similar topics together. It also gives no indication of the topics covered in the sections The context is good, but would be better with better formatting.

Sic transit gloria mundi. I didn't know Gloria was sick!
Statistically speaking, you're not a man if you don't think about the Roman Empire at least once a day. You don't need to like, ponder its economics, the hierarchical structure in the domus, or even military tactics. You could just contemplate the indoor plumbing. Or the fashions of the Roman man. Something as simple as "Wait how far out WAS the rubicon?" is enough to qualify. That said, getting this book is more likely to make you qualify as a man because you'll be thinking about the empire ALL THE TIME NOW. You're welcome.

Excelente libro!! De los mejores que he leído en mi vida y la traducción me parece adecuada, no es tan difícil de seguir como las traducciones en inglés antiguo de las versiones gratuitas
