A Beautiful Collection
I liked all of the pieces in this book. They ranged from Debussy to Bach to Ortiz and even the author of the book: Marc Hanson. Beautiful arrangements!

Great arrangements...
...but the cd requires a player with the ability to isolate L/R tracks if you want to play with the cd. If you have an actual partner to play with it's a great book. I thought the arrangements for flute were pretty good, some are a little in the low range of the instrument. They are mostly early intermediate to intermediate, nothing too tough technically. I don't play guitar so I can't speak for the guitar parts. The cd is nice to listen to if not useful to play with. I love the arrangements of "The trees they do grow high" and "The Foggy Dew".

Missing audio
No CD. Instead a dead link to, presumably, some audio files.

Nice!
My son plays guitar and I play the flute. This was a nice collection that we both enjoyed. One plus of this volume is that guitar tab is included. I have had a hard time finding flute/guitar music that has tab, and while my son reads music, he reads tab much faster. The variety of music was nice - some pieces more challenging for flute and less so for guitar, others more challenging for guitar and less so for flute. I agree that most music is intermediate to advanced. We liked "Foggy Dew" and "Jesu" pieces.

This has a few good compositions by classical composers
This has a few good compositions by classical composers, but too many by the editor/arranger, Mark Hanson. I wasn't expecting it to be that way but should have. I have noticed that editor/arranger/composers often use the traditional or classics to boost their own work. So I was disappointed. I haven't listened to his compositions. They could be great, but I'm involved in playing recognizable works, because it connects better with my audiences. For all I know, Mark Hanson could be a latter day Mozart, so you may want to give him a chance. Many of the tunes are 2+ pages, which means unless you can memorize longer complex music, you'll be page turning in the middle of the tunes. That's something else I don't like.
