I can't say for sure on roaches and mice, but it definitely repels ants. I boil a few leaves in a small pot of water, put in a spray bottle and spray around where the ants seem to come from and they go away.

West Indian Bay Leaves..Based on their names they are the same bay leaves however I watched in you tube that they differs from each other that is why I am confused too..actually this one doesn't have the same smell as the small bay leaves I am using for cooking. Hi, I store my bay leaves with a gallon storage bag placed on top of the bag in a dry place. Also one can use a large plastic container like the tupper ware kind.😎
