Review: I bought a pair of these for my karaoke shows ... - I bought a pair of these for my karaoke shows. I use the Yamaha DXR 12's for the tops and the DXS subs on the bottom. The sound is incredible, It has so much bass I have to turn it back to -2 .... Just used them at a dance with approx 500 people and had plenty of power, crisp,clear and plenty of power and resolved my clipping problem that I was experiencing without the subs.. 1 sub is plenty, but I bought 2 to be sure!

**Q: Can i use this for home theater? I listen to 90% music and 10% movies.  Hooking up with Arcam AVP700 preamp**
A: I use these two them paired with the yahmaha H8 and H12s for my theater system and it’s about the clearest most powerful set up iv ever had for music and movies no mistake they hit

**Q: Does the dxr10 have enough bass? or if i buy the dxs12 subwoofer, i wouldn't need to buy the dxr10? sorry, i don't really know much about speakers.**
A: The dxr10 does have enough bass.  I bought mine for occasional use after hearing a friends bluegrass group play with this speaker.  They didn't have a separate base speaker.

**Q: Can i hook two of these together?  i have the yamaha stage 400's. i have one dxr12 already. just need a little more punch?**
A: yes I am  sure they can be hooked together but ask guitarcenter or someone  to be sure ? i had a dxr 10 on this with pole that stick in sounded great

**Q: can i pair this sub to a yamaha home theater receiver ????**
A: Most likely not a good idea (or simply no).  You could power out into the sub, but if you are using regular home speakers at 100 watts or so with this sub it wouldn't be a quality sound.  If you went into  some Yamaha powered speakers plus the sub then the power would match and just be super loud for a home theatre situation or would have to keep the volume very low.  This is really too much power for a home situation.
