Get this cd whether your new to meditation or not
WOW! I love this CD of the Tibetan Singing Bowls. The sounds of the bowls are something you have to hear for yourself. Meditation is a daily part of my life and have been practicing for me years. When I use this cd for meditation it's like I'm in another world. It reminds me of a time when I went on vacation and was meditating with the Buddhist monks. They were using the singing bowl during meditation. This cd helps you focus on being in the present moment and forget everything else. When I used to teach yoga my students loved this cd above all other ones I had and only wanted me to play this cd. If your a beginner in meditation I would say get this cd over a guided meditation cd. (To me the person's voice on the guided cds are a huge distraction and don't help.) This cd helps you center and balance in meditation.

singing bells
Despite the first track which is a single struck bell/gong being quite long, I found this track useful as an introduction calming stage before meditating with the second track. I read a review that the first track was disappointing and I would add that the ringing is more frequent than I had anticipated. Like the ripples coming from a drop of water onto still water - this is how I found the first track- the ringing resonance carried on for some time after being struck.

singing bowls hard to hear
I am a yoga teacher and wanted some good background for a class mostly on meditation. I listened to the track with the gong and was fine with it, so I bought the album. Unfortunately the singing bowl are hard to hear for the first few minutes so it sounded like my music cut out. It is fine for personal use, but I wouldn't recommend it for a class setting unless you begin with the singing bowl that gradually fade in.

The best meditation gong music I have found.
This gong music has been transforming, bringing me to higher and higher levels of oneness when used with intention. I let the sound resonate into and through my body, mind, spirit. I began with the first tract and had wonderfully peaceful results. Each use sounded entirely new, like i hadn't heard it before. Then I progressed to the 2nd track and it moved me right into the stars. This is my favorite meditation music.

Meditation Help
I found the Tibetan Singing Bowls worked very well for my meditation. It was the perfect pitch and rhythm for me. Other sounds do not work well for me. It also helps me get to sleep when needed.

Good!
The second track was what I was looking for. Gong sounds about every 4 minutes. Enough to keep you present during a 30 minute meditation.

Relaxing, But...
After listening to the CD during a meditation session, it definitely helps to slow things down. The music is soothing, but I found myself getting a little annoyed from the repetition. Same sound over and over and over and over... get the picture.

Good meditation CD
This is a good addition to our yoga class meditation CD collection. Very effective at helping to reach deep relaxation. We will be using it freqently.

Tibetan singing bowl: Music for Deep Meditation
I was in a meditation class that used 'glass' singing bowls. In this instance three were being played and three different sizes, by running the fingers around the bowl rim. I loved it and was hoping to find a CD with this type of meditation. The CD I ordered, 'Tibetan Singing Bowl' - Music for deep meditation, is nowhere near what I was looking or hoping for. In fact, it's no where near what I experienced before and do not like it all so will not be using it - disappointing.I'm still hoping to come across a CD using glass bowls but want the option of being able to hear it first before ordering.
