Lion Brand Landscapes: Beautiful Yarn.
This yarn is so soft. It is very easy to work with. Price was a little higher than at a brick & mortar craft store but it was worth the price considering I did not have to drive to the store just to find out that the color I needed was out of stock. It came packaged with 3 skeins of the yarn and each skein has 147 yards. it is a medium weight #4. Recommended hook size is a K (6.5mm) however I have used anywhere from an H to a K hook with this yarn. This yarn is machine washable on gentle cycle & lay flat to dry. It seems to hold up well under normal usage conditions. Really the only complaint I have is that its very hard to find the center pull of the skein. I wish that the center was marked with a tag like other yarns that I have purchased. I definitely give it 5 stars and recommend this for other crocheters & knitters.

Beautiful, smooth, round yarn
Very soft, beautiful round yarn makes your work exceptional. I looked for hours before I settled for this. Not as strong as other yarns but PERFECT for my project. The color changes were just right--not too often or too infrequent.

Beautiful yarn! 'Apple Orchard'
I'm four skeins into crocheting my afghan, and seeing NONE of the issues other buyers have mentioned--no 'yarn barf' blobs, clumps or tangles, and the yarn is of a good, consistent, uniform thickness throughout, no 'thick and thin' issues that other reviewers have mentioned. I've had two instances of finding ends mid-skein--as you would with any other yarn--but tying the yarn together to join them is no problem. The yarn is strong with a silky sheen, the dark jewel tone colors deep and saturated. At the start of my afghan I made some changes before I settled on a size/pattern, so I ended up ripping out and restarting my project 4 times--the yarn took it just fine (and I tend to go for speed over gentleness when ripping out!) and stayed strong and intact with no loss to its integrity. I did have to fuss out some spots where it had grabbed onto itself, but that's the price you pay for fuzzy yarn, I just had to go slow and develop a technique to minimize that. So beginners, beware!I bought 20 skeins and all were from the same dye lot. Each skein is individually bagged, a HUGE plus for anyone shopping and worried about getting someone else's partially used skein they returned! The bags also keep the yarn clean and contained until you want to use it.This silky yarn works up beautifully, the color changes keep you from getting tired of a color. I crochet a little on the loose side. The yarn has a loose twist, so you have to be on guard not to put your hook through the yarn instead of the loop. Being so very soft, this yarn is a bit on the fuzzy side and sheds a little--but not enough to be a turn off for me.When I first found this yarn it was a bit pricey, but after about a month I caught it on sale for under $5 a skein.I'll be buying more of this yarn for future projects!

So pretty!!!
Update: The price did come down on this yarn to make it more affordable long enough for me to buy some but now it's back up. So keep an eye on prices. I'm adding pictures with granny squares made with it and Thor The Warrior Kitten. After making a full blanket with it, I can say more about working with it - thickness varies in places. There is also a bit of fuzzy/halo effect as you handle the item sometimes. That doesn't trouble me, I'm a loose crocheter and don't mind a "handmade" variability to the yarn thickness or appearance. I split the yarn a few times but I didn't perceive it to be a significant issue. This yarn doesn't strike me as generally fussy to work with, but the few times when it was mildly fussy, I just didn't care because I love it so much. If you're very particular about everything being exact on your projects - same thickness, tight tension and extremely uniform look, you probably wouldn't dig the multi-color explosion here anyway. But it's right up my alley and I'll be looking for more opportunities to work with this.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------This yarn is GORGEOUS. It's super soft, very thick, and the colors (Boardwalk) are absolutely stunning. It's wonderful to work with and I want more!!! The only thing I don't 100% love about this yarn is the price.I would make huge blankets out of this stuff all over the place if I wouldn't need to mortgage something to do it. That's why it's 4 stars instead of 5. At the price I paid for it, it can only be used for accents or special projects, not all the stuff I'd love to use it for. But for a hat or scarf or something? Great choice.

Not for beginners.
This yarn is very very soft. It is a loose weave and splits very easy. I wouldn't recommend it for beginners. You can lose your stitch count and split stitches really easy. It is very pretty though. The colors are vibrant and it has a lot of spring back.

Beautiful and soft
I love the texture and colors of this yarn, so much so I’ve bought it 3 times. It’s super soft and easy to separate the colors if you need to or they blend together nicely for scarves or flowers.

Beautiful but...
This yarn is an absolutely beautiful color but I definitely don't recommend it for beginners. It can be extremely frustrating to work with because it is so loosely spun at times it's like trying to knit with thick strands of hair. It splits really easily so you really have to pay attention as you work to make sure your not knitting in splits which makes for a slower project. It's not the kind of yarn that's mindless to work with while you watch TV that's for sure. If that doesn't bother you then I think for the price the colors and ombre effect are really pretty.

Beautiful yarn
I made an Afghan with this Lion brand yarn last year and liked it so much, I decided to buy more to make two afghans for Christmas presents. I'm starting early. Colors are beautiful and they work up really nice.
