You need this one
I have used several different needle threaders and this one is the best for fine sewing thread. Lesson learned, one size doesn’t fit all, you need a different tool depending on the needle you are using. You need one of these for mending or anything that uses regular sewing needle and thread. Highly recommended!

Great little gadget
I like the multiple functions. It seems a little more fragile than sturdy, I like the beak cover. The hole provided for hanging it is small, I’m having difficulty finding a way to hang it. The hole is too small for a split ring keychain. The whole item is a little smaller than I expected. It is handy though.

This product is a great buy and works so good, i will definitly rebuy!
I just received my two humming bird needle threaders, and after trying several different ones, I love this one, it is so easy to use and works every time. and I am very happy that I bought them. It is definitly worth buying it.The only thing that I do wish, is because it is a wonderful product, and made so well, the beak has a cover over it. thought it would be greater if it was larger to handle. but wow what a great product that works. I have already had some others that the wire broke the first time I used it. This product has no wires the hummer beak does it allThank you so much.Linda

I love it!
This little birdie has saved my eyes! I was struggling to thread multiple stands through my needle but now I have my birdie and threading is a breeze 😊The "beak" (threader) seems like it would break under any real pressure, but in the course of normal usage I don't see how it could break unless you applied sideways force. Meaning, I think birdie will be with me for years to come!

Best for delicate single-strand sewing, NOT embroidery/cross stitch/needlepoint.
Nicely made and looks cute, but the hook catch is TEENY TINY. Surprisingly so. And way more shallow than I expected. You'd need a magnifying glass and small fingers to get the most effective use out of this thing. Probably best for delicate sewing work that uses very thin, single-strand thread. I could see it being a reliable tool for that sort of work. However, if you're like me and looking for a break-resistant threader for embroidery or cross stitch, which uses multiple strands or thicker/waxed floss, this is not going to be very helpful.

Sturdy but still small enough for a travel kit.
I don't have anything to add to the other reviews, but I was worried it be too small for my travel kit and it's actually smaller and thinner than the picture looks. V sturdy though and the cover is nice. Ideal for a small repair kit.

Smaller than I realized
This a cute innovative way to thread a needle. The “beak”, thread holder is a bit flimsy and the indentation to hole the thread is very small. It will work with only one strand of thread so not good for two or more strands of embroidery floss. Even with those limitations it still will come in handy

Buy at Least 2
What an ingenious invention! Most hand sewers hate with a passion those flimsy aluminum and hair-thin wires that break after ten uses. This little bird is a tool built to last, and, of course, to simplify that simple task of threading a needle. Particularly good for senior sewers with failing eyesight, who dread to thread a needle any more. Simple to use, cute and colorful, it will not get lost easily. I bought two for myself, and one to give to a friend!

Handy Item
Handy little item. It is smaller than I expected but still less easy to lose than my old traditional plastic needle threader and it has a cover to protect the threader itself. It also comes with a thread cutter. This threader uses a hook inserted into the eye of the needle. To be honest I find it easier to see the eye of most needles than I do this hook - it's tiny. However I know the hook faces upwards so I just slide the cotton along until I find it. It involves a slightly different technique to thread with this threader. It's advisable to keep the cotton taut at all times or it will pop off the hook. It's easy enough to insert the hook into the needle but sometimes, if it's a very small eye, it's not so easy to get out when the cotton is loaded. I think this is because the cotton sits round the side of the hook and, as small as it is, it's not as narrow as wire. That said, I soon mastered the technique and have very few problems. As I said the hook is tiny so it's fine for use with cotton or polyester thread. Also it's ok with some heavy duty (button) thread and possibly one strand of embroidery cotton although I have not tried the latter. Anything heavier will fall of the hook. This item seems to be good value for the price. I found another use for it. It is great for threading my sewing machine. As the needle is a front threading the threader is small and rigid enough to go through the eye from the back without a lot of fiddling. Great.

Works
It is small, gorgeous and works perfectly for the fine thread l’m using. I will be modifying it a little so l can attach it to my needle book to keep it safe. Much better than the traditional wire threaders that are so poorly made nowadays.

Longevity right there
I bought a few of these after finding the little foil threaders weren’t lasting long at all (the ones with the stamped silhouette)These little fellas however are excellent with longevity as their design works SO well, I have used again and again and again for my project for coming up 3 months now and it’s showing signs of wear - but no signs of giving up being up to the task10/10 could not recommend these more 🏆

Far far superior to the fine wire threaders that are everywhere that break after only a few uses.
This is a great little threader. It is still delicate and fragile BUT the threader part is firm metal and as such it is a billion times better than the usual commonplace fine wire threaders that break after a few uses. Because they are tiny I know they will likely get lost-yet as they are so good I have bought 4 so I will hopefully always have one of these wonderfully designed helpful threaders to help me. Very highly recommended.
