I have a single clamp on the sides, but not the top or bottom. I added a piece of clear gasket, roughly 1.58mm thick to the clamp area because it didnt feel quite "snug" enough. It seemed to be securely held then, but had some rocking movement when cleaning. I assumed this was due to the gasket material or because I used only single clamps on the sides. About six months later, howeve, one side had slide down. Whether it was because of the ill fit, the gasket material, or because the sides should have two clamps, I don't know. I would think 10mm would work a lot better as far as the clamp fit, but I can't really comment on how they handle weight. **Q: Just to be clear, do these clamps require any holes in the glass panel?** A: Not in the glass panel. Only in the tile/wall you are attaching them to. **Q: Does it have a set screw?** A: Yes it does. It also has a rubber insert to tighten down on the glass. be careful not to lose the insert as it is not affixed to the set screw. **Q: Does it require a screwing it into the wall.
