Great for a nirvana fan !!!

It was super cool to read about everything and i loved how many collectible items were in the book.

You know you're in trouble when one of the first sentences in a book you crack open is totally inaccurate. Such is the experience with "Treasures of Nirvana". On the inside front cover, a decent facsimile of a poster for Nirvana's 1991 European tour, which they were on in late summer/early fall as Nevermind was exploding in the US. Nice enough. However, the description of said poster calls it "tour poster for Nirvana's breakthrough series of concerts in the U.K. in 1989". 1989?? Really? Lest you think this is an easy mistake to make, the poster features a GIANT PRINT of the cover of Nevermind. So no, this is not an simple mistake. It's a stupid one.I didn't read through the rest of the text of the book because chances are it's rife with other factual errors like the one described above. The good news here is that the reproduction goodies contained inside are pretty decent- reproduced in a DIY fashion that I'm sure wasn't on purpose and more closely related to what they could afford to publish, but in spirit with the band, it works. The layout of all the photos contained within are also quite nice.So, this book is mostly just eye candy. If you really want to know the actual/factual story of the band, read Everett True's fantastic bio  Nirvana: The Biography  and skip the melodramatic "Heavier Than Heaven".Comment

Nice if you want the posters and replicas not all the information in the book is accurate

As a Nirvana fan, I can't fault this book. It has a scrapbook type feel about it- as though you have saved the clippings over the years. Each page has little pockets and envelopes with little replica tickets and flyers inside. Its pretty cool. I had initially bought one out of a shop as a gift for someone, but as soon as they opened it and I saw what was inside, I had to order one for myself. 4 years later, and I still enjoy opening it up now and then to go through all of the little trinkets.It is housed in a strong protective casing, and is pretty sturdy.

Gillian....Thank you for another excellent publication, you are awesome!!!! To the fans you really should purchase this book, very reasonable price,great story,photos & the BONUS feat. which i did not expect is many replica flyers,tickets etc... Awesome Book.P.S. Check out Gillian's other books!!

Really interesting book, lots that I already knew but just as much that I didn’t. The posters and bits you get inside are nice and bring back lots of memories!
