great quality and design, useful for in the gym and more!
this holder was able to hold my pixel 2 phone perfectly and the gripper pads help keep my phone secure! my phone is the camera so i can't show you, sorry. the holder will attach to any pole, i tested with the door handle! as you can also see, it makes a great stand too, so it's kinda like a 2 in one which is quite neat. the holder also has a universal tripod mount, so you can unclip the front part and screw it into a tripod which is quite cool and means really it's a 3 in 1. the mount also lets you choose what angle your phone tilts at to suit your needs. this is a very good quality mount, i'm sure you will love it.

Great value for money
At this price point my expectations were not too high but I was pleasantly surprised. Good range of adjustment, seems well made and the grip is good. I have used it with my Android smartphone on a cross-trainer but not with a tablet and it works well.

Does what it says on the tin.
Very useful little device. I like to have my phone with me when I ride on the exercise bike, particularly for watching Youtube videos to make the time go faster. This device is perfect. It fits on to the bike handlebars with no issue, and the phone just clamps into it using the spring-loaded jaws.It is worth saying that I like to keep my phone in a foldover case, so it increases the bulk quite considerably. This device can handle that no problem, so I can mount and dismount the phone without having to remove the normal protective case.

Does the job but bit of a faff to setup
I bought this to use on my exercise bike instead of precariously trying to balance an Ipad on the handlebars like an idiot. So its plastic - it doesn't look particularly sturdy and getting it around the thicker foam handlebars on the bike was not working so I had to put them on a thinner section. Now they are on it's fairly secure but it does obscure the front display of the bike - not that I pay attention to the speed or pulse or any other metric shown. You can twist the display but I think it prbly suits smaller devices better than a larger Ipad Air 2 which I was using. Fine for the price but don't plan on adjusting it or moving it much.

Brass inset tripod mounting screw
I bought this because I wanted to mount a phone with the grips at top-and-bottom (instead of the usual side-to-side). It is intended for tablets and most others are too wide for a phone, but this is good.Unfortunately the bar mounting was the only style available, and I would have had to butcher it to be able to mount it for a car driver, but it has a brass tripod mounting screw thread underneath, making it easy to adapt. That wasn't clear from the description posted. The release button is a little awkward, because it is on the back (instead of at one side) and because the jaws are not spring-loaded, making it a two-handed operation to release the phone.

Does the job - small, neat, not expensive
I'm using this device to hold an iPhone while working out on my bike trainer: it's attached to the handlebars. The attachment seems firm and I believe the iPhone is safe. I have yet to try it with an iPad, but I'm confident it will work. I had thought of attaching a small laptop, but I think it would be too heavy for the holder (it's not sold as being good for laptops). I might try, and if I do I will edit this review.Basically I'm happy with the holder.
