wonderful little accessory
I'll follow up in a few months time, but so far (about a week comprising 10-12 rides) I love this thing. I needed to detach and readjust my brake handles and cables to fit it on my old Trek 930. I imagine this might be a bigger (and perhaps insurmountable) issue on other bikes and for other people. I used the little shallow-u-shaped bracket (included) to ensure that it doesn't sag, and this thing is solidly on there. The little semi-insulated bag is ideal for lunches and snacks. And personally I think it looks great. One small gotcha was that my U-lock was long enough to rub the front tire (lightly) but I use a security cable too, so if I always put the security cable under the u-lock when its in the holster, the problem is solved (and it also helps prevent rattling).I also wish there were better ways to fit accessories on the basket itself (there is an single eyelet on the side that you can mount things with a screw, nut and washer, but, the you end up having to put something like Origin8 Eyelet Stub, Black (which BTW, doesn't come with a long enough screw nor a washer and nut). Its a little on the pricey side, but I was lamenting having to bungee my u-lock onto the trunk rack, because it doesn't really fit anywhere else on the bike. Design-wise, I was wondering why they didn't put the U-lock holster on the side close to the handlebars, to alleviate weight issues, but that speaks more about me than the product. All in all though it still rates up there at just shy of 5 stars for me. I guess I would give it 4.75 if I could, but I don't begrudge giving it 5.

Sturdy, light weight, very practical basket.
I'd been thinking about getting a front mounting basket for a while because, even if I wasn't picking up something from the store that was big, I'd end up driving if it was too awkward to tie down on my rear rack, read: a 6 pack of beer. On a short riding time trip, I'd spend ten minutes using bungee cords to strap stuff down, only to turn around every 20 feet to make sure it hadn't fallen off. I also wanted something that wasn't girly looking, so this fit the bill. It's great to just plop stuff in there, and it's probably already paid for itself in gas money saved. It looks good. It's light weight. You are limited to the amount of stuff you can put in it, but I had a half a gallon of milk and a few other things thrown in there and it didn't buckle under the weight, so it's sturdy when mounted. That being said, it's not quite as easy to get the basket mounted on your handlebars as the instructions might lead you to believe. There's only a handful of nuts, bolts and washers, but the nuts are self locking so you have to twist them pretty hard - while the basket is falling down. An extra set of hands would be helpful. Also 2 of the bolts were just slightly shorter than the others which I didn't realize until I had it fully installed. So I started over for aesthetic reasons. If you were planning on switching this basket between bikes, you might want to look for something else. All in all, well worth the price.

Small, but useful
Put this on a recent 90s mtb build. A little pricey(a Christmas present to myself),classy as heck. The bag seems very durable, and at least water resistant. I have Wald baskets on a couple of other builds, just wanted to try something new. I'm glad I did.

Good little basket, until it falls apart
I used this basket on my main around-town bike for maybe two years. The handlebar installation is relatively easy compared to bigger racks and baskets, but it's still a fairly solid platform for carrying small bags of groceries and what not. The u-lock holder on the front is a nice idea, but I found that on anything short of impeccably smooth roads, my lock bounced and rattled dangerously. I got around this by wrapping a locking cable around the lock to keep it from bouncing around so much, but this ended up defeating the quick-draw benefit of the design. The basket worked great in this capacity for about year of riding at least a few miles most days, but eventually some of welds started to crack. For a time I was able to hold things together with gaffer tape, but eventually the basket more or less fell off.So, this is a good choice for light use and/or on smooth roads. If all you ever want to carry is your lunch or maybe an occasional six pack, it's perfect. For anything heavier, a more substantial front rack or basket with some sort of support underneath is probably a better choice.

Brilliant little basket
Brilliant little basket that's tough and looks good. Really handy for the odd bit of shopping, jacket, bike lock. It also comes with a quality hard wearing vinyl bag which you can loads of stuff in.

it will go much better for you
A bit finicky to install...if you can get someone to help, it will go much better for you. In the end it looks great and is the perfect size, exactly what I was looking for. I mounted mine to a retro inspired Breezer Radar Cafe bike. Cant wait for my first trip to the beer store to carry back a 6 pack LOL!!
