Works well, keeps my water trough warm so horses will drink in cold weather.. Only thing, who ever packed it LEFT OUT the rubber grommet, lucky I had one..

Easy install. Works great on my 100 gal horse trough. No more ice even when totally full of water.

I had installed a similar heater, but I believe the same manufacturer, a number of years ago. I assumed I would simply install this one in the same hole I had cut in my tank. But alas, a bigger hole was required. I was also missing the rubber washers. So I got a bigger hole saw, and some rubber washers. I enlarged the holes in the tank and the washers, and put everything together with a generous coating of silicon sealant. Everything seems to be working fine. No ice problems on this tank even when the temperature dropped to 10 deg. F.

We have been using these heaters for some time and they work great in cold MT winters. I really like the low profile in the water tank which makes it safer for the horses. The alternative heater sticks up 2 or 3 inches higher. They do start to wear out after 3 or 4 years, but as much as they have to work and as long as the price remains reasonable I think that is a fair life span.
