Ranaco Animal Survey Collection, Set of 24

This was certainly a mixed bag. Most were quite nice. However, a few of the jars had problems. The largest specimen jar was so cloudy and muddled that I could not see what was inside. I hoped it would settle out after a time, but it's been 5 days, and no visible organism yet. Another couple of the jars had apparently been jostled and bits and pieces of the animals were floating around in the liquid. And yet another couple were a bit cloudy, not so much as to obscure seeing the specimen, but not clear. On the positive side, remainder of jars were clear with nice specimens. Packing was double boxed and secure so that the jars were not damaged. Even though the order was through Prime, shipping took five days.

When I opened the box I expected them all to be cloudy or small subjects. These were only being used as set pieces in a haunted house so I was not too worried if they were cloudy or small. But when I opened the box they were all perfect specimens and the sizes were great! If you are looking for something in a set these are great and honestly I can see these being purchased for use in a school or for educational purposes. The labels on the products are great and they come shipped really well, so no worries of damaging during shipping. They are also in very well made plastic containers that we dropped a few times and they did not leak.

I wanted real samples for the my middle school biology class and these fit my budget and needs. Some samples arrived cloudy (like the sea urchin) and one or two were so small you could barely see them, but most were in good shape and easy to see. They worked well for our introduction to the variety of the animal kingdom, and the price was right.

Overall I was fairly satisfied with this product. There was however slight damage to some of the specimen, but I chalked that mostly up to shipping.

Some of the collection was very cloudy. The specimen was too little of a container for there to be a benefit of studying it.

great product. I bought this for Ascension Elementary School in gang territory. The teachers and kids loved it.
