Hearing Amplifier - PSAP - Personal Sound Amplifiers - Set of 2

Though the sound works great for my mother it burns through batteries incredibly fast, as in one use per battery, maybe 6 hours. Also apparently this may be sold as models using different types of batteries. Mine took a different type than several other reviewers so don't rely on the people purchased this together with a certain battery because it may not be the right one. Wait until you receive it to see which battery yours uses before getting replacements.

I bought this for my father who is 86, and while I think it works well, he won't be able to operate it without help. The part that goes behind the ear has controls that are hard to use while it is on, and you can't adjust the volume until it IS on. I think this would be great for someone who is younger and more able to problem solve.

Actually, I was rather disappointed with his aid. The sound was good and clear, but the earpiece has a heavy gold ring around it and the tube connecting the earpiece and the amplifier is pretty short -- and I have medium sized feminine ears. Anyway, I'm keeping it as a back-up.

I am returning this item. It is pretty bulky and does not sit behind your ear well. I found myself consistently adjusting it to stay in place. It does amplify but not without ringing. I adjusted the volume and even at midway volume the ringing started and well too low doesn't amplify at all.I guess I will shell out the money for the real deal. Disappointed this did not work out.

ok for distances, but not so great for picking up close conversations. There are better devices for less money available. If you are a woman with a small face, this may be too cumbersome.

got it for grandma , she used it a while but ended up not using it, guess she would rather not hear, when she used it she said she could hear good, and liked it.

Bought a second one for my wife who is hard of hearing as a backup. She finds that it works well for her, for she can now hear her patients clearly when they discuss their physical issues. It's clearly visible behind the ear, but she finds hearing more important than style. For the money, it's a good buy. She changes the batteries every week or so. Claims she can hear really well on 1-1 conversations, but sometimes it's hard in a noisy environment like a restaurant. She also tried one of the cheaper brands ($39) but they were not very good. Stick with the $69 range and up and you should be satisfied.

returning these for many reasons The three sizes of ear pieces all too large. The device will not stay in place. Falls off onto floor or chair. The tubing not comfortable or quality fit. the device is in two pieces and easily separates regularly. Sound quality very poor. To get any decent sound there is the squeal. Batteries very expensive. Not standard batteries but a watch type. I have ordered & received a set from Amazon(well one has arrived) that was 10 dollars less a piece and far superior in every way and used standard 13 batteries.
