Cheap but not shoddy
It may not be fancy, but it is a well designed game for an amazing price. NO checkers, just backgammon.

Perfecct cheap game
I wasn't sure if my wife would like backgammon so I wanted a cheap game to introduce her to it. This is perfect for that. It is a cheaply made game, but accomplishes the goal of learning the game. Now that I know she likes the game, I can look at buying one of the much more expensive models. I do wish they would have printed a checker board on the back.

Cheap, but good for a first timer
I bought a cheap game of this because I wanted to teach a friend how to play. Frankly, it had been years since I'd played and I needed a refresher course myself.The directions sucked. I ended up googling how to get the board set up. Then there was a matter of the rules of getting doubles and all of that which wasn't covered. Keep Google handy when learning this game, if you buy this model.The board was damaged when we opened it, but still usable. I guess I could've sent it back, but I was in a physical rehab center on a temporary basis and I didn't have time for that. I also left the game there with a friend.This is a classic case of you get what you pay for. I didn't pay a lot for it and it was cheaply made.

Cheap, but a good value
This board is not heavy-duty cardboard, as you might expect it to be. Unlike most board games, the board is made of two pieces of business card grade card stock paper (each side of the board) that have been laminated pretty effectively. The result is just what we were looking for: a very travelable standard-sized backgammon board. The checkers/pieces are thin plastic and unbelievably cheap. I recommend using higher quality checkers. For $2, you can't find a better value for a full-sized travel board, though. They should sell the flexible board by itself to save on materials cost.

damaged package
This item was very inexpensive but still one expects it to be clean and undamaged. The backgammon cardboard box was filthy with black dust, and one side was torn.

A $5 Bargain
I got tired of lugging our heavy backgammon board all over the place and this is a nice lightweight version. The board is well made, the game pieces are kind of light, at $5, it was exactly what I was looking for.

Not made and packaged very well.
The board is pretty nice, but I saw a lot of flaws with this set after my purchase. First when arriving, after opening the amazon packaging, there was was a big whole in the middle of the box. The material of the box was very cheap which probably caused it to break so easily. Looking past that when opening the box there were two bags of black pieces, which on the box it advertises red and black. This must have been a packaging error because on the box it clearly states that there are only two dice and with both of the bags together there were 4. Me and my family also had trouble understanding the instructions because they were too complicated.
