I probably use this pan only 3-4 times a year, but I'm glad to have it here when I need it. After 3+ years, it still looks brand new. Latch holds the pan together well once it is closed, though closing it can be tricky. Good for making mousse and certain kinds of cheesecake. (I make chocolate Irish cream cheesecake with it, go to Allrecipes.com for that recipe; I think it's worth buying this pan just to make that dessert!) Easy pan to clean but it needs extra attention when you're drying it because water sometimes sticks in the grooves.

They are actually nonstick . I do use parchment paper though on bottom. Even cook. Easy release. I do not put my springform pans in the dishwasher as they tend to warp so I can’t answer that. These are heavier and sturdier feeling than many of my others. I prepare about 12 cheesecakes weekly so they’re holding up well

I decided to bake a cheesecake while visiting my sister out of state, so I ordered a new springform pan sent to me at her house. I gave it a quick soapy wash and rinse, since it had never been used and probably still had factory chemicals on it, and it washed up nicely and dried fast. The parts fit back together without a hitch; the latch is secure and sturdy. However, when I went to serve the cake, I sliced it with a sharp serrated knife, taking care not to push down harder than necessary when I reached the bottom--but with a graham cracker crust, you do have to press it a bit to cut it all the way through. And just like that, my new cake pan has a big old scratch on its surface. Not sure yet how great an effect it will have on future projects, whether they will stick to the pan in that spot, and whether they will bake evenly. I guess we'll soon see. Baking a cheesecake for my husband, now that I am home, and if it's worse than anticipated, I'll be back with a new rating and a new note.

My last springform pan was cheap and the latch broke off in a way that prevented me from actually removing the sides. When I decided to order a new one, I looked for something that appeared to be higher quality. I did have to use the cues of price and brand name, since I can't actually look at a physical item before purchasing on Amazon. After having used this pan, I'm happy with it. It's heavier and sturdier than it looks. To me, this indicates the use of high-quality materials in its construction. While it's a bit dark in color, I found that I did not have to adjust the baking temperature; my cheesecake turned out well just following the directions given in the recipe. The latch worked well and the sides were easy to remove. The pan was also easy to clean (I did wash it by hand as I find that bakeware lasts longer that way). I did not try testing this pan by filling it with water. My cheesecake batter was much thicker and more viscous than water. It did not leak out. I don't usually bake cheesecakes using the water bath method, but if you wanted to do this, a regular-width sheet of aluminum foil is large enough to cover the outside of the bottom of this pan. In the end, I'm glad I paid a little bit extra, because I got a high-quality springform pan that, with proper care, should last a long time.

The cheesecake I made was a huge hit! My family is begging for more. This worked great. Of course if you are making cheesecake you need to wrap this in tight foil so the water bath doesnt leak in. I wound up buying a silicone sleeve so foil won't be needed next time I made one. Mine came with no dents or dings. Easy lock and release. I did not put enough pam in the bottom and did a no no, I used a butter knife to cut the cheesecake. This page clearly states not to use a knife because it will scratch, and I I scratched it a bit but that's because I ignored the directions for the use of this pan. If you use a knife it will scratch. I should have used a pie cutter. That's not the fault of the manufacturer, it's mine. This is an excellent quality brand.
