Naked 2 Basics Mini Eyeshadow Palette - 6 Matte Nude Shadows, Multi-Use Powder for Eye, Contour, or Brows, Ultra-Blendable Cool-Tone Neutrals, Long-lasting Wear, Travel Makeup with Mirror

This is the best neutral eyeshadow palette I’ve used. The consistency, pigmentation, colors, ease of application and blending are superior. In mist palettes, I use two of the colors and end up throwing the remainder out, but I like all of the colors in this one. This is the first eyeshadow I can honestly say does a fantastic job on eyebrows, also. Not only does it fill in well and look natural, it seems to tame and smooth the brows at the same time, and lasts until I take it off with eye makeup remover at the end of the day. It’s interesting that one or two of the colors look much darker than expected when applied, but it doesn’t bother me. The one thing that is a drawback is the value— it is a bit overpriced for this truly mini palette.

I’ve tried A LOT of neutral palettes, and definitely consider the Urban Decay Naked 2 Basics palette to be a staple worth investing in. In fact, when they went on sale during the Black Friday/Holiday season, I got a couple as gifts for some of the emerging makeup enthusiasts in my life! Here’s what I love about it (and some considerations for if you’re trying to decide if it belongs in your makeup bag!) What makes it a yes for me: ✅ The Perfect Cool-Toned Neutrals – Unlike warm-toned palettes that can pull orange, these shades are beautifully taupe-based, making them flattering for a wide range of skin tones. These shades work for both my every day eye for the office and more dramatic but sophisticated smokey looks. ✅ Velvety and Blend-able – The mattes are buttery smooth, non-patchy, and layer like a dream (No chalkiness or fallout issues!) ✅ Foolproof for most Skill Levels – Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, the shade range is versatile yet simple, and totally complementary making it almost impossible to mess up. ✅ Travel, Transition and Day Bag Friendly – With a full range of color in a compact package, this one stays in my travel makeup bag— not just for intermittent touch ups, but as a game changer to easily alter my look if I’m going from the office to happy hour (again, these colors blend and complement each other well! I layer Frisk, Skimp and Undone for my day look, and blend out the skimp with a little more undone for evenings eyes!). It’s also my favorite to travel with when I want to travel in comfort, but need to do a quick eye getting off the plane on business travel. I know some reviews shared that it broke easily, but for me, this palette has been sturdy and no fuss rolling around in my makeup bag (picture attached) A Few Things to Note: ⚠️ If you prefer warm-toned shadows, you might find this palette leans too cool. (If that’s the case, the Naked Basics 1 might be a better fit!) ⚠️ There’s no shimmer or highlight shade, so if you like some glow, you may want to pair it with a separate shimmer. (My splurge that stays in my bag with this palette is Urban Decay moon dust in Lithium) Final Verdict: For me, it’s a staple palette that’s reliable, blendable, and perfect for everyday wear. If you love neutrals with a cool, sophisticated undertone, this is a 5-star must-have!

Not too mini size. Even this mini size really delivers. This palette is like the baked texture, where it does not have all the colours leaving a powdery mess of mixed colours all over the place. I hate that. This pallete stays neat and tidy. The colours are so beautiful, they really enhance the 'natural' no makeup look.

Urban Decay Naked 2 Basics Mini Eyeshadow Palette is super pigmented so start out with a light hand. I didn't realize that when I first tried it and ended up with an unintended smokey eye. The colors are basic in brown tones (no orangy tones) which are great for basic daytime to nightime looks. You can easily add a shimmer shade on top to get a great night time glow. They blend easily and I love the compact size which is great for travel.

These were to be presses shadows (I wear contacts). They are not a true pressed powder. I have to dampen my finger after application to tamp it down - not a disqualifying issue for me. I got the Matt Nude shadows; the colors are as shown. They glide on and blend well. Wear all day into the evening without need for touch up. (Could be from the dampening I need to do??) Nice choice of shades to be light daytime shadowing to giving a dark smokey eye. Wish it came with an applicator for convenience. Is a bit difficult to open, but I have short nails. Would I buy this set again? For the colors, yes. For the not being a pressured shadow, no.

Absolutely love the colors and texture of the Urban Decay eyeshadows. Easy application and they look great!

I love these neutral colors for the daytime

First one I ordered came in cracked and a mess. Second replacement one came in in good shape though luckily. These are really good neutral colors.
