I haven't tried out the actual game slot yet but I'm very confident that it works too. This is a good replacement for sure. Keep in mind folks this is the V1 2017 model not the V2 2019 model. So make sure you double check which replacement you are getting. I thought I wouldn't care about which model I got and I definitely should have opted for the V2 simply for the extra battery life.
