Despite repeatedly asking Amazon to update their listing, they continue to wrongfully list the Nextbook Ares 8A as having 2GB of RAM. The tablet only has 1GB of RAM. Every other listing on the web says this. Even the original NextBook page said this. But, Amazon being Amazon continues to mislead their customers.The tablet is slow because of the 1 GB of RAM. Do not expect to play games or watch videos without any buffering. The display is great and is the only positive part of the device. If you plan to use this tablet as an e-book reader or use it for just reading text material on the Web, then the tablet should be fine. If you plan to consume video media or play video games, then looks somewhere else. This tablet is not for you.

A nice tablet. I gave it to my daughter as a gift because she was constantly streaming videos on her phone while doing chores around the house; now she has a self-standing screen she can leave in one spot and watch her shows as she moves around it. The only reason I gave it only four stars is because we had some difficulty installing streaming services; we called customer service and after several tries it now works fine.

I wanted a tablet mainly for mobile games as we all know how fast they can drain phone batteries. I was kinda worried buying a tablet under $100 but after 1+ mo use, this Nextbook exceeded my expectation.Operating system is very clean without annoying pre-installed apps; Quad-core processor performs well when playing games; the touch screen doesn’t feel sluggish; display is not the best but definitely good enough for a budget tablet. The back of the tablet feels sturdy, especially for long time holding it’s surprisingly comfortable. Best thing is the battery life, and that I don't feel much heat after long time heavy use, comparing to a mobile phone. Overall, a great budget tablet!

This is the first ever Unsatisfactory Review !! On an Amazon ordered product. My Neighbor looked over the Tablet and its apparent the Tablet does not re-charge. And has never performed as I' had hoped.Please give me clear return info A S A P. Thank You !!

This was the 2nd one of these we purchased for my grandmother, the plug keeps going out so she can no longer plug her charger in making unusable. I contacted the seller this was their response.Hello.I’m truly sorry to hear that the tablets have been breaking. However I can assure you that I bought those tablets at Walmart and just like I received them I shipped them to you. This tablet has been sold for a while now. This sounds like it is a quality issue from the manufacturer.So in turn rather than purchase this from this seller I would just purchase from Walmart the same as they do! They are not backing the product they sell and they are charging you more for the same product obviously. Customer service from this person sucks and so the product, same malfunction twice and not willing to help shame on you!!

I bought this Nextbook to replace my Nexus 7. At this price, I am very surprised how well-built it is and very satisfy with it! Definitely worth the money.I have been using this to stream movies from Netflix and HBO Now and browse around on Chrome, everything has gone through without a hitch. 16 GB internal storage isn’t much, however, there’s a micro SD slot to store the downloaded movies for me to watch during the long plane ride.

Constantly disconnecting from WiFi and crashing
