Rives never disappoints
As a printmaker, I’ve bought this paper for ages. - it’s great , acid-free, sturdy stuff, w/ a good tooth. Rives knows paper!!

Rives BFK 100% rag paper
Unchanged since 1974 when we used it for intaglio and litho printmaking at college. Soft surface will not withstand a lot of erasing or sharp pencils. Lasts many years without yellowing because content is 100% rag. Can be soaked for prints or watercolor without buckling. A very high quality paper and satisfying to work on. Store flat not rolled.

Nice paper crappy packaging
The paper quality is good but the paper had tape on the inside plastic fold right in the middle of the top sheet so when I removed the top sheet from the packaging it torn the top layer of paper off making one of the sheets of paper useless.

Great paper, poor handling
Love working with this paper, unfortunately the bundle was mishandled and the entire stack had several deep dents in it. All sheets were affected and had to be trimmed to cut away the damaged area of each sheet. The box was intact so I’m assuming this was done during handling before it was shipped. Very unfortunate

Recommended paper for Gelli printing
It was recommended for doing Gelli plate mono-printing. I have not tried it just yet, because I will be taking a workshop later today at the University Art store in downtown Sacramento. After the class within the next few days, I will be trying it. I will probably it these sheets up into quarter size of 11 inches by 15 inches like I do for Arches 140 lb. cold press watercolor paper. I have bought some Golden Open Acrylic and some liquid gel medium all with some stencils to do some printing. Tisia Blackburn from San Francisco is the teacher and representative of Golden. I will find out what other papers I can use, but this one is recommended. I like the results that I have seen, but have not used it just yet.
