How exactly do i connect or wire the usbs to the motherboard inside the nuc?

Would this work with NUC 7i7bnh ?

NO, The two chassis are not the same size: NUC-7 is 115 x 111 x 51 mm and the NUC-8 is 117 x 112 x 51 mm. Amazon has another Gorite lid for the NUC-7; just search for "gorite nuc7 usb". BTW, this lid works just fine on my NUC-8.

Is this compatible with the intel nuc10i5fnh, and will this solve the problem installing windows 7 that does not have usb 3.0 device drivers?

2.0 ports not 3.0 if that's what you need. Plugs into motherboard. Don't know anything about windows 7

... and does not really break the bank. Quite pleased with it and was easy to install (even with my 2XL hands).

Functional but bulky

It fits, it works, modest price to pay for 2 additional USB ports... it would be a better product if there were additional space for an ultra quiet pancake cooling fan. These little rascals run WARM!

Great addition....

Took more time to take out of and remove plastic protective film than install. Plus its not as big as the picture makes it seem. It isn't that much taller than the OEM case. Nice to take USB 2 devices off the USB 3 ports.
