5.8 CFM at 90psi Air Compressor
This air hammer worked great. I used it to remove bushings from some leaf springs on a 39 Plymouth and it did the job easily. I cut thru the bushings from end to end then folded up the edges. Then put it against an edge and drove it straight out. The bushings didn’t have a chance. Before I used the tool I read the instructions and they said that the tool was coated with an anti- rust compound both inside and out. Use a suitable cleaner to remove then oil before using. Then plug in and operate for 5 seconds. Then pour oil in it and operate for 15 seconds. I have no idea what a suitable cleaner would be. I thought about mineral spirits but decided to use carburetor cleaner in a spray can. Stuck the red straw down the air supply hole and filled it up. Squeezed the trigger, filled with oil and ran it again. I used Kobalt air tool oil from Lowes.I was somewhat concerned because reading questions and answers concerning air compressor CFM it seemed this tool needed 90psi with 20 CFM under load, 4 CFM with no load. My compressor is 1.9 hp, 27 gal that puts out 5.8 CFM at 90psi. I’ve included a pic of it. I had no problems, the tool worked just fine. I use a drier system on my airline so I have 2 regulaters. One at the compressor I set for 110 psi. Coming from the drier I set at 80psi while squeezing the trigger of the tool. When I put it to the bushings, it went thru them like melted butter. This tool really saved me a lot of time and headache. I’m glad I decided to try even with my concerns.

Effective air hammer and cost effective.
Just want to leave a review on this great air hammer. I know it is not in the high end nor is it in the low end of air hammers, but for me DIY it allow me to reclaim bricks from a fallen brick wall. Chisel bit easily removed mortar and break wall down to manage demolition. Easy to handle with control valve. I’m sure I will take advantage of it others uses. Solid tool. Make sure to oil air inlet and grease bit connection for longevity.

Great Quality Air Hammer
The Ingersoll Rand 114GQC Air Hammer is a compact and powerful tool designed for various automotive and industrial applications. This air-powered hammer is built for heavy-duty use, making it a popular choice among professionals and DIY enthusiasts alike. After using the 114GQC, I would rate my overall satisfaction level as a solid 4 out of 5.Build Quality:The Ingersoll Rand 114GQC boasts a robust construction that feels durable and reliable in hand. It’s clear that Ingersoll Rand has designed this air hammer to last, which is a major plus for anyone looking for longevity in their tools.Value for Money:In terms of value, the 114GQC offers a good balance between price and performance. While it might be on the higher end compared to some competitors, the quality and effectiveness justify the investment. For professionals who rely on their tools daily, the price is well worth it.Ease of Use:This air hammer is relatively easy to operate, even for those who may be new to using pneumatic tools. The controls are intuitive, and the lightweight design makes it manageable during extended use. However, it’s advisable to have a proper air compressor to maximize its efficiency.Speed:The speed at which this air hammer operates is impressive. The rubberized handle provides a secure hold, reducing the risk of slipping during operation. This ergonomic design is essential for minimizing fatigue, especially during prolonged use.Power:While the power is generally strong, I found it lacking a little bit in certain heavy-duty applications. It performs well for most tasks, but for those needing extreme force, it might not be sufficient. However, it still gets the job done for the majority of users. In my personal experience, the Ingersoll Rand 114GQC has proven to be a reliable and effective air hammer. While it could use a bit more power for the toughest jobs, it excels in speed, ease of use, and overall quality. I would recommend this tool to anyone in need of a dependable air hammer, especially if you are looking for a balance of performance and affordability. Just ensure your air compressor can keep up with its demands for optimal performance.

This will be the best and the last short barrel air hammer you ever purchase
I am a diesel mechanic at a city bus garage. I bought this air hammer in 2017. I'm writing this review 8 years later. It has made it through days of long work on break jobs, heavy suspension work etc. I have never bragged about the longevity of a tool more than this one. I still use it constantly to this day. Absolutely buy it you will not be sorry.

Good Tool
I’ve used it two or three times and so far, so good. I am a DIYer so I didn’t need anything super heavy duty. It has performed well so far. The real test will be when we decide to remodel our home. I plan to use this air hammer to take up a substantial amount of ceramic floor and some ceramic wall tile/back splash. I feel confident it will get the job done.

Great product - Instruction for removing security tag
This air hammer worked perfectly for my application. Just make sure to oil it through the air inlet before using it. Others have provided valuable and relevant performance information so I won't cover the same information. However, the one item that is missing in the reviews is how to remove the plastic safety tag installed on the air inlet. I have included a photo of the plastic safety tag. You can see that the tag is composed of an outer shell, a flat keeper plate with two plastic nubs, and a plastic bolt that screws into the air inlet. To unscrew the plastic bolt from the air inlet you will need to dissassemble the tag by pressing on the two plastic nubs that extend through the rear plastic shell with a pair of pliers, or simply cut the nubs off with a pair of dykes. This will allow you to separate the plastic shell from the plastic keeper, thus exposing the plastic bolt. Once the plastic bolt is exposed simply use a socket to remove the bolt from the air inlet. - As I have already stated, this is a solid and reliable impact hammer and I would recommend it to anyone needing an air hammer.
