I heard about this stuff a year ago from some fisherman to modify their fishing rods. I added it to a Viking-ish themed Axe that I modified. I originally thought it wouldn't work because I got a bigger diameter than the handle but once I got heat to it evenly it shrunk without leaving any gaps or bubbles. Feels really solid and it make a great looking and functional axe grip!

I use this to add grips to down tubes and base tube (control bar) of my hang-glider. They are made of very smooth anodized aluminum and I wasn't too excited about the hack jobs I've seen on other gliders with bike-bar wraps and electrical tape. This stuff has a great look to it, really nice grip, and the shrink factor is really good. The tubes on my glider are all foil shaped so they have a large circumference, and my control bar is curved so I bought the 50 mm size. I was a bit concerned that it was way too 'roomy' but after shrinking with a heat gun I was quite surprised at how much it shrinks (over 30% by my best guess). Well worth the price and easily replaceable.

I am not a fan of cork fishing handles so having this as an alternative grip is pretty nice. Super easy to use. Literally just cut to size and use a heat gun on it. This was the first time I ever used it and I think it looks great. Clean the surface and then Start on one end and work your way down. I’d recommend giving a little bit of an overlap since it will shrink a little in length then have a really sharp blade, take your time and cut off the excess.No idea how long it’ll last but feels durable. Either way it’s roughly $10 and I have PLENTY left over. Even if I have to strip it and start over I have a lot more left.

This stuff is great! I have a pair of the old Thule roof rack square bars. The plastic covering split and I had used duct tape, which got ugly quick. Thule does not sell replacement plastic covers as they are phasing out the square bars. I stumbled on this product looking for something else. It fits great and was easy to apply with a heat gun. I bought the 45 mm tubing to put on oar handles. I was concerned that I bought too large diameter tubing as it needed to go on handles that where 1.5" max to 1" min. Turns out the 45 mm tubing worked perfectly, it fit snugly on the 1" part of the handle. I used a propane torch to heat the tubing. For what I needed this was a perfect solution. The pattern and texture of it was great, very easy to hold on to with out slipping.

The product is awesome, very versatile and strong, not slimy after bloody fish hands, washes off easily. The problem is how the "mm" is measured. I'd think around seeing how it fits around the fish pole. I used the mm to inches conversion chart to decide which size I needed but the product was way bigger.

I use these to improve the grip on wood hammer handles. They are great.

Used this to go over my stock, heated motorcycle grips, adding just enough thickness to the grip so my hands wouldn't cramp up. Definitely improved rider comfort, easy to use, just cut, slide on and and heat to shrink to fit. Have passed along what I had leftover to other friends for the same use and they love it as well.
