I was looking for a similar product for some timeI have it connected to my off grid / battery solar system and works perfectly so far.In fact when the inverter goes off due to low battery it instally turns in to mains suplly

as good as these may be, if your thinking of fitting an inverter to run alongside this item with the added mains power you could save yourself some money by buying the renogy 3k model - other models may also have the same fitted - the renogy inverters have a built in switchover mechanism that detects when mains power is present and uses that as the primary option, when mains is disconnected it reverts back to the inverter power without you even noticing - hope this information is found helpful for someone.

Came sooner than expected. Easy to install. Automatically switches from inverter to hook up and back to inverter when hook ups removed . So you can use the same 240v sockets .. so good I've brought another for my boat
