Superb build quality. Good size for 6" revolver.
I couldn't find a good case with precut foam that would fit my 6" revolver, so I decided to give a try to this case that goes with two thick inner layers of foam.It took some practice to get the cuts reasonably straight, but I managed to do it with just a utility knife. Maybe this helps someone, the trick was to remove the blade and use it by hand without the handle. I tried to make cuts that didn’t go all the way through, leaving a solid bottom for padding with the lower layer. The v300 case fits 4 full size pistols and magazines pretty well. I like Pelican cases for their build quality and thoughtful design. The latches are surprisingly ergonomic and satisfying to use. The higher price tag is well worth it.

Holds 2 Milwaukee nailers!
This box is awesome! The foam inside came in 3 different thicknesses so you can trace out whatever tools you’re putting in then cut the foam! I used an oscillating blade to cut them. So easy to do. Plus this box is so durable, you can quite literally throw it and it’ll be ok.

Great multi-purpose storage case
It's unclear why this is marketed as a "pistol" case, since it doesn't appear that way when you open it. It's a case with several sheets of foam that you can use or toss. If you showed this to a random group of people asked asked what they thought it was, they'd say it's a rugged storage case, maybe for tools, equipment, or supplies. I could see using it for electronics, tools, camera equipment, electronics, fishing gear, maybe even important documents.I use it to hold and transport music equipment, and it's fantastic. Probably more protection than I need (crush-wise and moisture proofing), but I appreciate the extra protection anyway, just in case. And that it can be locked up (using locks not included) is good to have as well.It was good too that it didn't have a smell, or be of questionable (i.e. hazardous) materials. Just a smart, wise, and tough plastic.

Great case! But the foam...
This case is great, heavy duty, good locking mechanism and handle. The only thing I didn't expect is that the center foam is cut about 3/4 inch short of filling the case completely and bottom foam 1/2 short.

The V300 is a great value
I ordered the V300 to hold my Polymer80 frames. I'm able to fit a P80 glock 17, glock 19, 12 magazines, and there's still room for a replacement upper, cleaning kit, or spare parts. The latches work great, and I appreciate the silent open/close versus standard Pelican case latches loud crack. The plastic of the case is definitely thinner than normal Pelicans but is still sufficient, and the foam must be cut by hand. I'm not too crafty and my lack of skills with an electric knife shows in the final product. I wish there was a better tool to get the foam customized and pre-cut than what's offered at pelicanfoam.com, but that would require a 3d scanner of some sort to get exact dimensions of every object... sadly that kind of tech isn't widely available yet. Buy glue to keep the layers together, and Plasti-Dip if you want to seal everything in place at the end of cutting.

very good, sturdy
Very sturdy. While it is water resistant to casual exposure, it may not be water proof for a lengthy time when immersed based on appearance of the edges when closed. Foam can be cut easily with a sharp razor or exacto knife. You will get foam shreds. Best to protect sensitive items with a plastic bag before putting them in foam openings (ex. Microphones).
