Very good but...do not expect the beading properties of glossy paint. The structure of Matte paint will not give you the same results. This product overall is very good, would give 4 and 1/2 stars.

Used this before I detailed/sealed the matte finish on my 2023 Indian Challenger. It works perfectly to clean the surface without harming the matte finish. It allowed for me to apply the Chemical Guys matte finish detailer/sealer without worrying about damaging residue on the paint surface. Leave it to Chemical Guys to provide a quality product. You only use a cap full of this product so there are lots of washes to be had with the bottle you receive...as many as 20 washes.

How do you know if it is great for matte finishes? Seems to be a good soap, but for the money, is it necessary.

TCG has set my standard on matte finish soap! I tried this right away on my new matte finished Sportage, and after going thru the first bottle- I quickly ordered a 2 pack to keep this stuff stocked in my bucket!Pros:-Not abrasive, and soft on the finish (and hands!).-Smells great! (although I think bugs also may find it appealing too)-Price. Great deal for a quality matte wash.Only Con:-Since it is a soft soap and hard scrubbing is not good for the finish, I usually need multiple passes to remove some harder stains and clean dirty areas. My first bottle gave me 5 washes using the TCG foam hose attachment. If you wash often or have a large car, I imagine burning through bottles of this stuff pretty quickly.I HIGHLY recommend this soap for your matte/satin finished . This also won me over and made me a Chemical Guys believer! All I ask is can you offer a large refill of this and/or can we get a more concentrated heavy duty formula?

Smells like bubble gum and cleans well. Don't understand why my matte finish needs a special detergent.
