Works better then I expected.
This thing is actually quite amazing. I really doubted that this would be all that great, but it far surpassed my expectations. I wanted to use this on my Savage .223 for varmint and hog hunting at night here in Texas. I live out in the country with a field is 200 yards long right outside my front door. I have a corn feeder at the far end of this field. I have sit on my front porch and watched deer eating at this feeder through this scope at 200 yards with no problem. I also have a Armasight ORION 4X Gen 1+ night vision scope. I could see the animals much clearer with this flashlight through my 3x9x40 Weaver Kaspa scope then with then Armasight ORION 4X Gen 1+ night vision scope, even with additional IR lighting. At 100 yards, I could count the points on the rack of a buck with this light through my scope. At 200 yards I can clearly see the deer, but can't see if it has antlers (the hair follicles of the deer seems to reflect the light) . (NOTE: All this was done for testing purposes as I have not had a chance to go varmint or pig hunting with it, and none of these animal come this close to my house). The deer did not seem to mind the green light, but just to make sure I tried shining a regular white LED flashlight at them and they did run off when I used the white LED light. When I get a chance to use it on pigs and varmints, I will update this review. The one thing that would make this better is if the beam would focus down tighter.

Does the job
Its pretty bright using 3 AAA batteries right now but I don't know how they're coming up with this number of 2000 lumens. I haven't tried with an 18650 yet but I really doubt it'll be anything over 1000 since cree XM-L only go up to 1000. The brightness with 3 AAA is bright enough though. This has no memory of your last setting. If you turn it off and back on within 2 or 3 seconds (give or take), it'll cycle to the next mode. But after more than 3-4 seconds off, it defaults to high the next time you turn on. It wont just cycle through the modes every time you turn on like some other users have mentioned. The flood beam is decently wide at max. If you twist off the removable tip which holds the lens, the flood beam will be SUPER wide, but you'll lose some brightness but not much.

Decent
The flashlight is decent. I do not know how long it will last but seems well made. The lanyard is too small for any adult hand and is useless. The lanyard also breaks very easily and did on the first use. I made a new wrap around lanyard out of some blaze orange 550 and that works very well. I'm happy with my green torch.

Finish is not bad for the price
Decent. Finish is not bad for the price. Some of these budget lights can have some very sharp and undeliberate edges from the lack of finish as they rush it out the door. Bought this to see if it would attract fish at night. I haven't had a chance to do that, but the light is bright. It might even be 2000LM when it's at it's smallest focal point. Otherwise, at a regular zoom, it's about average.Mine came with a AAA adapter and a 18650 housing. I've tried both, and both work as they should.

Not super bright but brighter than anything in the stores under ...
I put in the aaa batteries because the 18650's haven't arrived yet. Not super bright but brighter than anything in the stores under $60. For $11 it's the best thing on the market. I assume there will be a big jump in lumen output with the 18650's. VERY SATISFIED and I haven't even seen what it does. 4stars because the on/off -cycles through the setting selections with every on and of cycle (if it's on dim and you turn it off it'll turn on in strobe the next time you use it.

Good bright adjustable light.
Great light, very bright, good distance, I would guess about 70 yards for great viewing and 100 yards gets some useful illumination with a fully charged battery. Only one complaint is the zoom is very easy to move, wish you could lock it in or just have more resistance when adjusting.Beware: this lights diameter is too big for a standard 1" diameter light holders for gun rails. I haven't found a way to mount this to a weapon yet for hog hunting.

And enjoy the skeeters poking holes in you
It serves my purpose, doing my "getting out of the wilderness", doing my Archaeological Adventures. Only defect is bunch of scratches on the inside of the lense. Thought it was just dust on the outside, until I attempted to clean it. WRONG !!! Anyway, I'm sure I'll order another. Oh, and a bug & mosquitoe tip for all. "A green light will attract less bugs." But if you don't believe me, then keep on using your white light. And enjoy the skeeters poking holes in you, and the swarms of bugs up your nose, in your eyes, and down in your ears. P.S. - Still keep using your repellent spray,

WASTE OF MONEY
On/off switch completely broken when this showed up. Clearly there is no quality control check prior to shipping items out. This is getting returned.
