All brushes except for the base coater (with bristle hair) feature a special blend of varying thickness and types of synthetic filament hair, resulting in a smooth and soft feel with great resiliency and snap, and providing a split-proof point or fine tapered edge. Hair is shaped and tied by hand and then glued into 22kt gold plated seamless ferrules. Ferrules are then hand crimped to select beechwood handles that have five coats of matte turquoise lacquer.
