I really wanted a simple rechargeable light to clip onto my book, and there are many available. I went through two different ones, both disappointing in different ways. After reading many, many reviews, I came to the despairing conclusion that no perfect rechargeable option existed.Then I stumbled on this one.Things I love: So many settings! Two brightness levels and three "temperature" levels (white, bluish white and warm orange). The lamp is compact but creates a generous area of coverage (it might be a little too generous, not focused just on your book. But I think it diffuses outward enough to not disturb a bed partner). I love not having to worry about recharging (the problem with one of my first purchases was it wouldn't hold a charge and 9 times out of 10 would be dead when I went to use it). The arm is supple and can flex in every direction and feels sturdy, not in danger of snapping if you get over-enthusiastic looking for the best position. The clamp isn't big enough for my furniture unfortunately (while being too big to apply to a paperback; better for a hardcover), but they were thoughtful enough to include a base it can slide onto that holds it on a tabletop like a regular lamp.Some things that aren't so good: The fact that they don't include a power adapter to actually plug it into the wall. It's only a USB cord. Sure, I have plenty of old adapters kicking around, but maybe not everyone does and I don't see how they're supposed to use this without one (important to note: Not made to be charged and run wirelessly. Has to be plugged in to function). That's it. That's about the only negative I can think of.Happy with this purchase, wish I'd thought to look for something like it sooner!

I attached this to the back of one of my monitors as an additional light for some of the work I do. It's surprisingly good. The light is bright enough to give me the view I need and the neck is stiff, but not to the point where you feel like you might break it.The clamp works fine and I've had no issues with it. The various light settings underdeliver though. The regular white light setting is fine. The yellow and blue tints are quite low and do not offer much illumination.It's fine for basic lighting needs in small spaces.I'm sure there are better ones out there, but this one is actually not bad. I'd probably buy again if I needed another.

The light is listed as a portable book light but I use it as a portable desktop work light. I use when I need a good, portable directional light source for close work. Changing watch batteries, installing SD cards into phones etc. are all jobs where this small light comes in handy. There is a supplied metal base the the clamp on the light attaches to, I use this all the time.The light is small and seems to be well built. The part that hold the LED is metal as is the clamp and base. There is no battery, so a USB port of some type, either PC, a portable USB battery charger or 120v AC converter is necessary. There is a switch the allows for intensity and color temperature selection.There are 3 color temperatures and 2 light intensity settings. For my purposes I keep it on the coldest color temperature setting and the highest output.For $15 bucks it's a nicely built, handy portable work light.

I'm using this little lamp on my nightstand to read at night before bed, and it's worked well for that. The neck of the lamp is very flexible and a decent length. There are 6 different light settings, but I'm not picky and so many settings doesn't make it any better to me. It can be clipped to something, but it also comes with a base that can be attached to the bottom to make the lamp stand well on it's own. I had a difficult time getting the base on and could only get it on backwards compared to what the product pictures show, but it still stands well. This lamp must be plugged in, but it only comes with a USB plug-in. For the price, it really should have come with a wall adapter because most people don't just have a bunch of extras lying around. I've only had this little lamp for a few days so I can't say anything about how durable it is, but I'll update this review if it stops working.

Pros: Overall a great reading light! It has a lot of different light settings for different situations. When my partner is sleeping I can put it on the lowest, warmest setting to not disturb. The clip to hold the light is big and has a foam coating so it can be put on a lot of different materials without damaging them, including your book! The flexibility of the light's neck is also a big plus, it can be contorted to fit your needs very well.Other notes: Doesn't have a cordless mode. It would be nice to have a plugged in mode for charging, and then a portable mode. Also, there is a red LED that shines when plugged in which may disturb some while trying to sleep.

I wanted to get a reading light for some time now, but had specific needs because I had tried out one my mother had and it wasn't bright enough to use without straining my eyes and I knew I would need something a bit more strong. I'm always reading and put this lamp to use right away. It is a substantial size (pictured clipped on to a standard hardback) and can be plugged into a usb. There is a on/off switch and a button to change the type/strength/warmth of the light so you can decide which one is best on your eyes. I really was pleased with that. I got a lot of reading done in the dark with no issues. So far, I am very impressed.

I am very impressed with this light....the clamp is solid, the length the light extends from the clamp, and especially the various lighting options. I can now read in bed without a book light that clamps to the book, gets in the way, and has uneven lighting! This light (lamp) could not be more pleasurable to read by. My only issue is I wish the switch positioning was a bit further from the actual light, but the length to the usb plugin is ample. For some, it may not be an issue, especially if using the ‘sit on the desk. I cannot imagine anyone not really liking this lamp!
