I am a frequent purchaser of H&D products and this may well be one of my favorites!Don't listen to the naysayers. Especially the person that felt the need to cut and stitch their cover. No reason at all to do that. This is a real leather product and it will wear and form itself beautifully over time. Yes, the folds are not creased, but that doesn't matter.I clamped mine between two hard cover books with Irwin Quick Clamps and it creased perfectly. If you don't have clamps, any heavy enough weight should do the trick, just might have to leave it for longer.Looks great. Feels great. Smells great. I can't wait to see how this gets even better over time!

Ive purchased several items from this company (Hide & Drink) and they are all really high quality leather goods. I’m trying to create the habit of carrying the Field Notes with me to jot down the important things, and this leather cover has helped me do it. It rustic and cool looking like I’ve been carrying it for years. But there’s no way it’s going to wear out. But the thick leather is really well treated like a nice leather jacket. I will keep buying items from this maker.

Great little cover! My notebooks would get wrecked in my pockets and fall apart but this simple but beautiful little cover is great at protecting them! It also has a little slide in pocket for a loose card or other small note you may need. Leather itself is very nice and the distressed leather is beautiful. Can’t get better than this for this price!

I can always depend on Hide & Drink for high quality leather goods. I have purchased from them before and am pleased with the consistently high quality of their top grain leather. The smell is wonderful and I know that this journal cover will hold up for years to come. It fits a field notes pad perfectly. I only wish there were a loop for a pen.
