Supports Dolby Headphones AND DTS Headphone X! Some plugs cannot be inserted all the way in though....
Works with other earphones / headphones too, which was why I bought it in the first place. Also, because of the updated drivers, you get to choose between not just Dolby Headphones mode, but the latest DTS Headphone X mode as well. Don't think you can find such an adapter anywhere else. Personally, still prefer Dolby, but both modes are the most realistic virtual surround I've heard. With your own cans (Let's face it, Logitech headphones aren't really fantastic), the sounds get way better. Listening to online videos becomes a lot more enjoyable when the audio isn't blasting into your ears.[Update]2 things to note:1. Some earphones don't work properly (sounds distorted, missing bass) when you insert the 3.5mm plug all the way in. I'd hazard a guess that the contacts didn't line up correctly. In my case, after I pulled out the plug slightly, it fixed the issue.2. There was an obvious background hiss. Turns out it's because of the integrated mic in my earphones, and if you're using such earphones, it can be fixed. Follow the attached image to turn the mic off, and the hiss will be gone as well. Note that this mic that you're disabling (in the Playback section), is different from the other mic (in the Recording section) where you can hook up via the other phone jack. You just need to disable the mic in the Playback section. Hope it's not too confusing. Please follow the steps detailed in the image.

Exactly what I needed!!!
I have Logitech headphones for our gaming computer and this is a must have item. I don't mean you must have as in everyone should go buy one, more as in required to use the headphones. I don't ever use the voice portion of the Logitech headset so it worked great for me. However, I ended up playing a game that needed voice to talk to your team and when I plugged the voice jack into the computer the headset didn't work. Apparently, Logitech (maybe other brands) require you to have this adapter in order for the headphones to function properly. I'm guessing when I bought these headphones back in the day they probably came with this jack but I've always just used the 3.5mm headphone and voice jacks in the front of my computer and probably threw the adapter away. Anyway, this solved the problem and works like a CHAMP!!! Thanks

Audio output quality isn't the best, but...
It does have mic monitoring with no latency. Which is *absolutely critical* for recording or talking with your team mates in a fast paced environment.I bought this to use with a Logitech G PRO (great headset, kinda hard to find, but quality.)It works as expected, and adds the one feature I WOULD HAVE EXPECTED from a higher quality headset that SPECIFICALLY says it was designed by GAMERS... I will probably just keep this running as a passthrough with a switch so I can choose between higher quality from my PCIe sound card, or lower quality with mic monitoring through the dongle.

Does not work with Logitech G-Hub or Logitech Gaming Software (LGS)
The item does work with my Logitech G430, it is able to produce clear, crisp sound, and the adapter appears to be made with good quality. However, when buying this product I was under the impression that it would work as a replacement dongle for my G430s which would allow me to use the Logitech G-Hub of Logitech Gaming Software applications to manage the various features and functions of the headset. There were no claims that this was the case in the description, but others that had reviewed it said that this was the case. With that in mind, I give this USB Adapter a 3, because it does work and is of good construction and I certainly will not be throwing it away. However, the title is a little misleading.I believe because of the "5H" logo that this was designed to work with the Steel Series 5H branded gaming headsets. I suspect if I download the software intended for that headset, that I will then be able to adjust the settings and features once again.Knowing what I know now, I wouldn't buy this again.

Good OEM replacement adapter
Have only had the adapter for a few days, but so far it is working great. I already had the logitech software downloaded for my mouse, so nothing extra was needed and the headset appeared in the software. 7.1 surround working, and mic picking up better than the cheaper headset/mic adapter I was using before. The unit I received was branded with the logitech logo, and came in a logitech branded envelope, so I have no reason to believe it is anything but a genuine OEM part if anyone is concerned with that.

Makes a constant buzzing noise in your ears, doesn't work with LGS
It's literally just more plastic garbage. get it if you like having the sound of a mosquito in your ears at all times. This is probably caused by the low quality of the parts used. And it doesn't work with LGS which is kinda the point of having this. You can activate windows sonic for headphones which is basically what all virtual surround headphones use, but it's hardly worth having a the high-pitched buzzing in your ears.Edit: Literally a day later from this first part. It keeps lowering the volume of my microphone forcing me to continually lower the threshold volume for it. The result is that my friends can barely hear me speaking in discord. This thing is garbage, stay away.

Works perfect
My headset has a mid in which my computer does not have the split to plug in both. This made it possible and it works great no complaints at all.
