I took one atI bedtime. They really helped me SLEEP well, quickly & deeply! I've been an insomniac for a decade these helped a LOT! A good amount of Magnesium will help you sleep & there is quite a bit in these. I bought them for leg cramps caused by blood pressure med, they helped me with them too. BUT omg...these had me running to go poop at the break of dawn & afraid to pass gas in my sleep. Sooo...I stopped taking them, but keep them on hand in case I'm constipated & sleepy with cramps :-D
