how to use to descale plumbing

I use it to clean my tankless water heater. I have a pump and a bucket, and I hook hoses to the cold and hot water flush connections supplied with the water heater. The other end of one hose is connected to the pump output, and the other is inserted in the bucket for return flow. I put a full quart of the Flow-Aide in the bucket, then fill with water to cover the pump. Open the vlaves, turn the pump on and recirculate for about 30 to 45 minutes.There's probably other de-scaling uses for this product, but it would likely require a recirculation setup to be effective.

Does this product contain vinegar?

The container does not list the ingredients; it does say it is biodegradable.

Can you use this in a washing machine? Dishwasher?

Has anyone used this in a regular water heater (not tankless)? We have a 50 gallon with a lot of sediment. Tried vinegar but it didn't work.

No. Only used on gas tankless unit. I assume the main potential issue would be the amount you'd need to cycle the right dilution through that 50 gallon tank...and any potential negative issues with the anode tube and elements. I'd find something particular to a tank water heater. Good luck!
