Works great. Wired this into a 12v rock tumbler to get greater control over the rpm’s. Increases/decreases rpm’s smoothly. Easy to install.

Great controller. The controll panel of my rock tumbler was broken, I replaced it with this one, the tumbler works great now! Only difference is lacking time control, but that is not a problem. The motor has run for 24h and everything doing good so far.

I got this to regulate a tiny 6 volt motor I use to drive a marble run I built. It works just fine and doesn't take up much space.

[UPDATE 2019May] After a couple of months use, the switch failed. Now it just stays on without any variation in speed. I have this connected to a 2 amp fuse. So it is not the power input which cased to fail. DO NOT BUY!!! [ORIGINAL 2019JAN] Good value for $8.00/ea. This little unit is compact and does modulate the speed of small DC motors. This is for low power applications. However, I found, when the switch is turned fully on, it only permits the motor to operate at 80%. Frankly, I was expecting more load, since this variable switch would require some power itself. The motor application I have is a 12VDC with maximum load of 2A. I do not have a scope to look at the PWM waveform. My guess is the waveform is NOT clean. So if your application is sensitive to this, look elsewhere. Recommend adding an external fuse, as there is none here.

Seems to be some leeched power through the potentiometer/switch. Have it connected to a 12v motor, I turn the potentiometer all the way down to the off position, and once there, the motor starts to spin again. appears there is current flowing through the switch even though it has been turned off. The variable speed aspect of the controller works well otherwise.

These little fan controllers work well for managing fan speeds of typical computer fans. I originally bought some of these a while ago to manually adjust the fan speed on my PS4 and have since used them to make little table top fans from pc fans that I've salvaged. They are PWM controllers with a built in potentiometer to make any fan variable speed.
