Worth it
I am not really a seventies movies buff, but I will take the seventies movies over the ones being made today, that's for sure. And this collection was not a let down. It even included the movie Midnight Express, which can be hard to find at times. Certainly worth the money to buy and then worth the time to watch. Lots of young talent. Was packed with care, too.

For the Nostalgia Viewer
Great set of '70s movies. The only one I didn't like was The Last Picture Show. Just not my cup of tea.

Greatest movies
I’ve enjoyed each one of these classic movies. So enjoyable, and o commercials.

a great time capsule!
In the 70's I had no time, nor money to go to movies. In school, working 2 or 3 part time jobs and then married with babies, it just wasn't part of my life. So now, 45 years later I'm enjoying retirement and living at a different pace. I knew of these movies of course, just never saw them. And I must say I'm quite impressed with how good they are, and how much I enjoyed them now! The biggest surprise was "White Nights!" The long, glorious, beautifully filmed dances of Baryshnikov and Hines was a revelation. (The only musical I saw live in that decade was a local University production of "Hair" and while I loved it, it cannot compare to the power these two exude, even on my small, big screen TV.) And of course, it's a curious kind of nostalgic indulgence seeing again the world as I knew it. A time capsule. Money well spent!

Great Sampling of Movies
This collection of 10 movies from the 1970s provides a retrospective look into our culture of the 1970s: it's not just about taking the movies for what they are; instead, collectively they make an impression on you of what our society was like at the time. The bonus part of the DVDs, of course, are the bonus "extras," which are usually behind-the-scenes and making-of videos. Finally, these movies are easy to experience because they rely on character development far more than special effects and continuous booming soundtracks. Yes, we get to actually hear the dialog and dive deep into characters and plot instead of being distracting by the constant droning noise.

Movies on individual discs
Great collection at a low price. Movies are on a spindle, but each is on an individual disc. Old favorites to watch again and again.

Great old classics
I took a star off tho because the dvd packaging is horrid. It's a thin plastic tray with all 9 DVD's stacked in a lump on top of each other. Make sure you have some extra cases of your own to separate them.
