Sorry, I misread your question. Let’s put it this way, it’s far more sustainable than electric cars. A tonne of lithium requires 2.2million litres of FRESH water to extract. Chile, Argentina and Bolivia, aka the lithium triangle, have lost large swathes of farm and grazing land which has turned to desert. This desertification is never mentioned by Greta (where is she now) Thunberg nor is the increase in energy production by hydrocarbon burning from 57% to over 70%. No protesters are seen are they? Fortunately for the South Americans they’ve now got governments who care about their people and haven’t sold them out for profit. The wood for the charcoal is managed, probably better than the disposal of lithium batteries!
