Consistently good.
Nice aroma, nice taste and a lovely creamy crema. Our go to beans for many years now. Recently experimented with some stronger tasting beans from the same company and blended them for an even greater experience! On their own or with an addition makes lovely coffee. The crema is always outstanding.

Super crema indeed!
The media could not be loaded. It was a recent roast date shown on the bag, so that’s a good start. I would say the coffee is slightly darker roast than many, but only a bit. It grinds well in the KINGrinder K2. The extraction is good and the crema is superb. It’s a lovely espresso, leading to a coffee as good as the high street chains. Personally I think these are as good as some artisan speciality ones I’ve tried recently. Good taste, good aroma, fresh out of the bag and good value for money. If you’ve not tried it yet, give it a go.

Excellent everyday coffee
Lavazza's Qualità Rossa coffee beans promise a rich and aromatic experience with notes of chocolate and dried fruit. Here's a closer look at the strengths, weaknesses, and overall impression of this popular coffee blend:What’s Great:Balanced Flavor Profile:The combination of chocolate and dried fruit notes creates a smooth, well-rounded taste. It’s versatile enough for various brewing methods, from espresso to French press.Rich Aroma:The beans emit a strong, inviting aroma both before and after brewing, adding to the overall coffee-drinking experience.Medium Roast Excellence:This medium roast strikes a good balance between light and dark roasts, providing a robust flavor without bitterness.Affordability:Compared to premium artisanal coffee brands, Qualità Rossa offers excellent quality at an accessible price point, making it an everyday coffee option for many.Consistency:Lavazza's reputation for quality ensures consistency in the flavor and quality of the beans across batches. What Could Be Improved:Lack of Complexity:While the flavor is pleasant, it lacks the complexity and depth found in more premium or specialty coffee beans. Coffee connoisseurs might find it too straightforward.Oily Beans:Some users may notice a slight oiliness on the beans, which could impact the performance of certain grinders, especially burr grinders.Intensity for Espresso:While it works well for various brewing methods, espresso enthusiasts may find it slightly mild, lacking the punch of darker roasts or blends specifically crafted for espresso.Limited Origin Information:The blend combines beans from Brazil and Africa, but more transparency about the specific origins or growing practices would be appreciated by those seeking sustainable or single-origin options.Noteworthy Observations:Versatility:This coffee is incredibly versatile, performing well in both milk-based drinks like cappuccinos and lattes, as well as black coffee.Approachability:It’s a great choice for those new to coffee or those who enjoy a classic, familiar taste rather than venturing into niche or exotic flavors.Verdict:Lavazza Qualità Rossa is an excellent everyday coffee for those who appreciate a smooth, consistent flavor with hints of chocolate and dried fruit. It’s affordable, approachable, and versatile, making it a reliable staple for home brewing. However, those seeking a more complex or intensely bold cup might find it lacking. It’s a fantastic blend for casual coffee drinkers but might not fully satisfy specialty coffee enthusiasts.

Better than most supermarket coffee....
I usually buy from specialty roasters but was running low and wanted something to tide us over. I had previously noticed a lot of coffee drinkers were buying this Lavazza variety, at least when not going to a local, artisan, roaster. So I thought, let's give it a go. The Kg price is very reasonable and with next day Prime delivery there wasn't much to lose.In fact these beans were surprisingly good overall. They were not fresh roasted (around 3 months) and the roast itself is a little dark so hints of oil are beginning to form on the surface of the bean. However, I found this coffee pretty easy to dial in on the grinder and was quickly drawing about 40 grams of espresso in the cup from 18 grams in 28 seconds, which I found to work quite well with this coffee in my espresso machine. The taste has a typically chocolate nuttiness to it but is, for me, slightly swamped by the roast itself which pronounced in Americano. However, it excel best in milky based coffee drinks and, in particular, I found it worked very well in single or double shot Cappuccino - keeping to the ratio (mentioned above). Running off 50 + grams of espresso made for a sour cup and aftertaste.Somewhat surprising also was that I didn't find the crema particularly pronounced over other 'regular' crema's, at least from my espresso machine. Overall, though, these beans are more than capable of making a very good cup of coffee (cappo, latte, flat, etc.), and certainly better than what you will find in coffee shop chains.

Nice overpriced coffee
Nice coffee but price got stupid , so now buy Amazon own brand , I think it is equivalent or even better . So won’t be buying Lavazza again.
