Very good quality images
I am using it with my canon 80D. It gives very fine images with excellent quality in low light conditions. I also love the portrait images with great bokeh under normal light.

The big fight. Sharpness 40 Pmpix.
SIGMA 50MM ART SERIES (CANNON MOUNT) MO (Manual Override) function is unavailable with this lens when using on my new 6D Mark II but backward compatible with my old 5D Mark III. Lens correction data are unavailable when used on my 6d mark ii. Also on new 6dmii none of lens correction can be done without creating strange rings. I had to set up this lens with my new 6dii for focus micro adjusting.Probably Third party ban. Cannon doesn't want its new range of cameras to use supervisor quality third party lens. Cannon is not being fair. It doesn't have reasonably priced superior quality 50MM lens. It's L series 50mm f1.2 is 40k costlier and I have used it on my 6dmii and it didn't completely blow me away. However due to this firmware issue we poor customers have to suffer.APART from the focus and software issues ; when I tested this on my old 5DM3 along side Cannon 50mm f1.2 L (tested at f1.4) the results were as follows:-For Sigma 50 Art1. Sharpness - 40 m pix at centre and 30 m pix in the corners.2. T = 1.83. Distortion- 0.1%. (Barrel)For Cannon 50mm LSharpness- 30 m pix at centre to 25 m pix at periphery. 2. Distortion - 0.1% 3. T = 1.7This is the sharpest lens below 1lac rupees, Sigma 85mm art also has 40 p-mpix. Only Cannon 300mm f2.8 is sharper at 45 P-ampicillin but it costs more than three times this lens and is not a general purpose lens. However Sharpness isn't everything. Canon 50mm f/1.2 gave excellent results in many areas. Specially Flare is very well controlled and Cannon 50mm f1.2 gives excellent contrast and more natural colours. ADDED to this the 100% accurate autofocus of Cannon f1.2 means that you can shoot all along at f1.2 knowing fully that all your images will be well focussed, sharp and punchy.Despite the better sharpness, Sigma lags behind due to software issue of autofocus accuracy. After getting the Sigma sent back for micro adjustments, I shot 50 shots on adequately lighted good contrast objects:- 30 were in sharp focus , 16 were soft with little back focus and 4 were really badly front focused. So despite micro adjustments the lens doesn't focus predictably due to software mismatch. FINALLY- The Bokeh of Cannon 50mm at f1.2 cannot be achieved by Sigma due to the laters aperture limitation to f1.4. Even at f1.4 Cannon gives a more rounded and smoother Bokeh. The Sigma on the other hand gives weirded cat's eye shapes with cut-off edges Bokeh. (see attached photos).CONCLUDING:- If you are on a tight budget and desperately want a 50mm Prime go for Cannon 50MM f1.8 available at less than 10k, you won't be disappointed. However if you are a pro or a serious enthusiast, and you have a slightly older model full-frame Cannon camera, Sigma 50MM Art is best. If you have latest model 5DM4, 5DS, 6DM2, IDXii - and are a busy event photographer ( provided you are not into 85mm) Cannon 50MM f1.2 would be ideal as sharpness can be dealt in post processing and you have advantage of sharp autofocus and lens correction data. Cannon has come up with some really exceptional latest lens. The already launched fantastic newer 35mm f1.4markii L and a new 85mm F1.4 IS USM L both-of- these have thrashed third party lenses in all aspects except price. A new improved 50MM L is long awaited from Cannon and Cannon's lens are built to last a lifetime.
