Hamilton Beach 31508 6 Slice Capacity Toaster Oven

Purchased as a gift.I don't see how anyone could fit 6 slices in it. I think I would describe this as one of the larger of the smaller, four slice toaster ovens. I like that it has two heaters above and below and not just one above and below like some of the smaller ovens. I think this results in faster heat-up and also more even browning of toast. Of note is that this oven does not have the bump out in the back for round pizzas that some Hamilton Beach ovens have. I prefer this as I don't like the toaster oven to take up too much counter space and stick out from the wall too much.I like that this oven is black on the outside with the updated stainless steel on the front. The black is easy to clean and the stainless steel front is stylish. Knobs are textured and easy to grasp. First attempt at making toast produced perfect results. I set the timer just a hair before the light toast symbol and that seemed to get very good results.I found it very hard to open the door without getting your knuckles burned; recommend use of a pot holder to open the door. Also of note, is that the oven gets very hot on the outside when in use. It could be described as hot enough to "fry an egg" on the top of the oven. It seems like all the newer toaster ovens have little if any insulation on the exterior to provide a buffer from the extreme heat on the outside of the ovens. I think the manufacturers should change their designs to make safer products. Our older toaster oven we have has enough insulation that it does not get very hot on the exterior when in use.I bought a small can of fire extinguisher to keep in the kitchen close to the toaster oven in case of fire.I would recommend this toaster oven to someone who is looking for a small/medium size toaster oven.

I'd give this toaster five stars except for the handle on the door. It is not like the handle shown - the pictures must be showing an earlier model. The handle on the toaster we got goes straight across, without the curvature, and it is too close to the glass, and not close enough to the top of the door. So when you open the door flat (as shown in the pictures), and the top of door is hot (there is metal there), then you can very easily burn yourself trying to reach for this handle, as your hand or fingers brush up against the top of the door.We had this exact same toaster oven for many years, and have loved it, but it was the older model with the curved handle, and we never had a problem. The new design is unfortunately a step in the wrong direction - it might look cooler, but it is hazardous.

This is definitely not a 6 slice toaster. It is more 4 slices of Sandwich Bread or 4 slices of French Loaf. I knew this by the reviews, but it is smaller than I thought it would be. After saying all that, I like this toaster. It has simple knob controls. I like the fact the rack is not attached to the door...It is easier to clean. It toasts the bread evenly. It is cheap $. I will not get upset because the toaster oven broke in 8 months after paying $90.00 $. Cannot review the oven function since I do not use toaster ovens for that.

It has its flaws, but for the money it is an of product. As others have said, the toast timer is not very functional, you have to learn it, we are still watching the toast so as not to burn it. The rack and backing shelf are adjustable (height) and need learning how to set for different uses. I think the backing and broiling work great for small meals, I use it almost everyday for that with no problems. Ironically, its the toast that it has a problem with. The glass door gets hot and lays flat in front of the food that you are reaching in for, be careful. All said and done for the money, it gets the job done.

Hard to read dials! No tools to take out trays, it's not worth the money, should have bought a better one with tools to remove the trays. You will need to have pot holders to get the trays out and some make it hard to grab them. It's not great for toast either. Engineers.......I know lots of them, most I don't know how they got through college......do any of them keep the user in mind when they design this junk!

Great toaster oven. I,ve made turkey drums, cookies, cakes, cup cakes, pies, brownies, pizza, toast and more. Cooks like a regular oven. The only problem is the temperature knob is slightly off about 50 to 100 degrees. So i used a oven thermometer to figure the right temperature.

We bought one of these to do mainly toast with which it does and amazing job of it just have to get use to the fact it does this quickly or otherwise burn several pieces like I've done. We cook fries small pies as well as reheating item and it cleans up very easy! So glad we purchased this and hope to use it for a long time!! Love it

This replaced another Hamilton Beach toaster that finally died. We were happy with the old one, this not so much. The toaster works fine. The problem is the outside gets very hot. This seems to be common among toasters. This can cause burns or a fire. When the door is opened it is difficult to close without touching a hot surface. Why manufacturers can't make a inexpensive toaster that stays cool on the outside? My old one did! Newer is not better.

Horno amplio, potente y a buen precio.

El producto llego antes de lo previsto y en perfecto estado.El horno es de uso muy sencillo, tiene tres perillas que controlan temperatura, modo del horno y tiempo de horneado. Tiene un tamaño ideal para una familia pequeña de hasta cuatro integrantes. Tarda un poco el calentar pero una vez caliente el horneado es rápido. Tiene algunos detalles, como por ejemplo la parrilla que incluye se calienta demasiado, cuando sacas algo caliente y quieres meter la parrilla es complicado porque tanto la parrilla como el horno están calientes y terminas optando por meterla cerrando la puerta que termina por quemarse con el tiempo porque queda pegada.En general el horno lo recomiendo para usarlo en ocasiones ya que el consumo el electricidad es alto.

Hoy en tiempo un año y ya no funciona no recomiendo
