Finally something to roll the hamstrings
When I got this, I was surprised that it was bigger than I thought. The height is good to roll the hamstrings on, placing the full body weight on the area. The piece is strong enough to take this weight. It's useful for very strong rolling of the quads as well. The stick portion comes off to use like a stick, but again the pieces are firmer so it's a lot more intense. That being said, I got it to really work into my hamstrings and it certainly has helped. I have used it on the quads and for smaller work on the forearms as well.

Handles fall off far to easily
works ok for legs and trapezius muscles but the handles fall off and the parts roll everywhere anytime you use it behind your back or at an odd angle. Should have designed some sort of grip locks to prevent this. Also the individual rolling parts are a hard plastic when they would be better as a medium dense rubber or foam.

Use it on yourself other than having someone else use it on you.
I have an extreme amount of pain, all the time, in my shoulders and neck. It has progressively gotten worse and because of it, I have been getting really bad headaches. When I seen this, I thought it could be useful to help with those triggerpoints. Normally, on the weekends, When my husband is home he will try to rub it out himself. The problem is, I have no hand strength, and it makes it hard for me to do it on myself. I thought that this handheld massage stick could help with that.Admittedly, it takes some getting used to to be able to use it on your own and be effective. It has helped to a certain degree. This past weekend, my husband decided to try to use it on me. It was not a good idea. Having someone else use this they can’t tell how much pressure to use, and it can be quite painful. I felt bruised almost immediately and I honestly don’t think that he thought he was pushing very hard. But the massage stick, is very hard in the grooves are very pronounced.I am going to continue to use this on myself only. I don’t think it’s a good idea to have somebody else use it on me. So, if you use this the right way and the way that it’s intended, I believe you will find it satisfactory.

The Answer to Pre-Workout Stretching & Post-Workout Recovery
The first time you see the TriggerPoint STK Fusion Recovery System in the packaging, it seems mildly confusing as to what purpose it serves. But I've been using it for a while now, and can offer a quick and easy breakdown. In a nutshell: This system helps to stretch muscles and tendons before exercise, and speed up your body's healing and recovery time when used after exercise. You can hold the massage stick by hand to stimulate specific areas of your body. Or place the massage stick in the stands provided, and use your own body weight for hands-free stimulation of certain muscle groups. There are different parts to this system, each with a specific function. I used the grey spacer on my Achilles tendon. The green massage balls are meant to find and relieve "tender spots," which basically they just mean knots in your muscles. And then I'd use the blue rollers for long strokes to stretch out muscles to increase blood flow, which means a speedier recovery. Before I workout, I use the system to get my muscles and tendons stretched out. Which means less risk of injury when exercising. I even use it before a brisk walk, or light outdoor activities like gathering firewood. After the workout, I use the system to loosen the muscles again, and get the blood flowing to them. Which means I'll be less sore, and for a shorter period of time. It works on my upper and lower body, both. What makes this system different from other massage devices is that you have the benefit of getting a hands-free massage thanks to your own body weight creating the pressure. You get the benefits of a deep-tissue massage, without having to shell out cash to a massage therapist. This is a good gift for anyone that exercises and walks often, or works out regularly.

I LOVE this!
Our son is an athlete. If he's not in school, he's playing basketball or sleeping. As such his legs and shoulder are always sore. Epsom salt baths and ice packs are his best friends, but occasionally I wished we had something to work his muscles a bit. Enter this set!Side Note: I'm easing back into exercise, so my muscles are also taking a hit, so I get a lot of use out of this as well.Anyways, this set is awesome! The roller balls are great for pinpointing and targeting specific muscles, which works out great for shoulders and calves. We've had some previous rollers that are a bit stiffer and they are uncomfortable, these rollerballs are a bit softer and have a bit of give which makes them much more comfortable to use. I also like that the bar isn't too long which makes this much easier to use on yourself. The larger blue rollers-charge rollers-are my son's favorites and work great on your calves and hamstrings. All the jumping he does results in tight muscles and these are great for increasing circulation and getting the blood flowing again to work out cramps. The spaces are nice-you can use them for smaller muscles-we use them for our arms, but they are also nice to create a more targeted space for larger areas like your legs. The price is a bit high-you can get a simple foam roller for less than $20-but after three different ones, I've found that the better move would have been to just spend a bit more on a set like this. It has multiple uses, the different sizes of the rollers allow for more targeted control, and the softer rollers are more comfortable on sore muscles. I'd also say that this set doesn't take up that much room-it isn't overly large so it doesn't need a lot of space for storage. Overall, this set is nicely made, lightweight and the different sizes allows for more customized massages-this is well worth the money if you deal with sore muscles on a daily basis.
