We used this on an area of our yard where there was an incline and the rain had washed away any grass we had. We put down Dillo dirt, grass seed and these to make sure the grass grew. So far, the grass has done well. We made sure to water twice daily and the grass has really grown. I would recommend using this in the spring when there's more rain. We put them down in June. I did think this would cover more area but I should have done better with measuring the area. So far, I am very happy with this product. I think the most important key to success is the prep and daily watering.

I prepped the ground well. I tilled it to loosen the dirt. I mixed in a few bags of soil. I put some seed and fertilizer down. Then I covered in grass clippings from the rest of the yard. Finally I put the grass fabric down. I kept it wet/damp for the first couple of weeks. Sometimes watering that area a few times a day. The first time I sprayed it, the fabric did blow around a bit so it didn’t look as nice as when I initially laid it but I figured the grass would fill in. 4 weeks later, the areas between the fabric are growing in more and better than the areas covered in this fabric.Save your money, get dirt, fertilizer and seed. I will probably put a layer of top soiled down and more seed. The issue is, it takes weeks to see results, so you don’t know if it’s worth keeping or returning until after the return window closes. I’ll save you the guess work…it doesn’t grow.

Followed instructions and also used pins to keep mat in place. Watered 3x a day and I have grass growing!!Where I live its difficult to grow due to the heat and rainstorms which were pushing my seeds back up and across the lawn. This product worked perfectly to negate those issues and allow it to actually sprout!

Product it's easy to handle and layout. The solar return policy is unfavorable and then other prime sellers. Beware, and her on the lesser side when ordering. I have an extra roll and it'll cost me almost $8 to return. So now I'll have an extra roll later on my house for a while until I give up and throw it out.

Ordering and delivery was perfect. Read direction. If there is a possibility of wind for the first several days these will blow over and they tear when trying to put back. I had a side hill that needed something to prevent erosion. Watered 3 times a day and within a week grass was growing on the hill.

I had grass sprouting with in a week!!

Total waste of money. Took 3 weeks to receive after placing my order. Followed instructions as well as some hints from other reviews and 2.5 weeks later not a single seed has sprouted.

Not enough grass seed. You’d be better off just buying sod.
