Rhapsody: Kelly Wearstler
Product ID: 92485220
Design trendsetter Kelly Wearstler shares her inspirations, inviting readers into the creation of her opulent interiors. Celebrated for luxurious interiors that capture the swankiness of old-world Hollywood with a modern pop sensibility, Wearstler is known for her decadent designs of residences and boutique hotels, such as the line of Viceroys and the tastemakers Maison 140 and Avalon. Her ornate interiors are distinctive for layers of bold textures, patterns, and rich colors juxtaposed with lustrous surfaces, adding up to a whimsical and elegant look that has been called "mod baroque." This volume offers a look into Wearstler’s glamorous world, profiling in detail her latest residential designs (previously unpublished) and her sumptuous new hotels, as well as her creative process. The book also follows the designer―known for her striking personal style―behind the scenes to watch her at work, creating sculpture at her metal foundry or shopping at auction houses, to reveal the myriad inspirations that fuel Wearstler’s imagination and her dazzling design work. With beautiful images of many never-before-photographed interiors, Kelly Wearstler: Chromatic Rhapsody is an inspirational look at one of the most irreverent and fascinating designers working today, celebrating the breadth of her creations. Kelly Wearstler is a Trend Setter
I purchased this book over two years ago and own all of Kelly Wearstler's books. I go back to them from time to time for inspiration and forgot how wonderful this book is. It is probably my favorite of all of her books. Each book by Wearstler is like a peek into her design style and projects at that particular time. Yet, many of these designs are timeless and also they showcase items that are now popular in the everyday home. But Wearstler was creating and producing these beautiful rooms and works of art years prior. She explains her thought process and provides luscious imagery to capture the spirit of her designs. Each page is carefully curated and is a feast to view. She pushes the limits and thinks outside the box and has the skill to do all of this tastefully.

nice!
I LOVE Kelly Wearstler. There were some really nice photos in here, for sure! But this is not her best book. I think HUE is her best one, in my opinion. But I still love to see her style.. It's so unique and worlds different than other designer with a cool and modern twist. Love how she combines decades of design, LOVE IT! I'm happy with my purchase. :)
